Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

NONA/FLASH/JENNIFER WIND/MARIANNE SCHMIDT/MOLLIE MURPHY/DALLAS STL'S/REBEKAH APOTRE/NOLA/ EXPOSED!!!

Nona: Do not trust a word that she says. She hires people that she is "connected" with. Just before she set her fb profile to private you could see that her daughter dates Lacey Perry and takes trips to exotic locations nearly every weekend on the companies dime. Lacey Perry got promoted to a regional position. Also, Mollie got promoted to a regional position as well; she dates another person in the sw regional office Laura Benold. A bit of nepotism(there is a lot more!! Trust me)

I hope the right people in these stores comes across this thread. At least they'll know they're not alone. I'm still working in one of the Tulsa stores. They watch and manage our social media. Our scheduled hours have been cut, and our team leaders are the worst since 2015. After 4+ years I'm giving my notice next week - this ship is sinking fast.

by | Post ID:

The worst career experience that I have ever lived through was at the Brookside Whole Foods in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was chaotic Incompetence at every level and in every decision made by the worst gaggle of managers assembled under one roof. Rebekah Apotre, Nicola Daubert, and Megan Gaither were the equivalent to a stool sample with a broken lid. They were lazy, they were a disaster in staffing the store, and they had no follow-through with any portion of their job responsibilities. The store was almost closed down by the health department due to their bumbling, cracky leadership.

Let's not forget to mention the pathetic job the HR managers brought to this dismal sh--show. As if Amelia Peterson wasn't unqualified enough in her role... they placed that scarecrow with no brains, DeDe Drinnon in her position during her pregnancy leave of absence. Everyday felt like a third-rate reality show.. starring the worst humans with a manager's code and a store key they could scrape from the bottom of the barrel ... co-starring the worst decisions and personal integrity all the above displayed on the daily. Most of them got what they deserved. There's that. :)

When I tried to speaking up about Nona and Yianni's ethical abuses, I was fired.

by | Post ID:

The southwest has been ran to the ground. Every leader in whole foods has made decisions and are responsible for whole foods. That is called the land of no excuses. The responsibility rises and falls on leadership(read a book)However, bad decision after the next has caused this region to operate horribly and thus look at the drop in sales, the new stores that perform subpar, the negative yoy store comps for existing stores, and more.

by | Post ID:

Yuppers, these things are pretty much public knowledge. Maybe that person should get their head out of Nona's ass. This region has enough Nona "yes" men and women. Especially women.

by | Post ID:

Hmm...it sounds like someone is f$cking Nona as well. I even know and see how she operates. I work in the regional office.

by | Post ID:

Again. Assumptions. You have no idea if any of her trips was on WFM dime. You're making assumptions. And their personal life has nothing to do with this. Make your name public so we can all see your FB profile and make judgements of you based on pics. That's a lame argument. Again. If you have issue with the leaders in the original post on this thread then post facts or just don't comment at all. If you feel you have been mistreated in this process then that's fine. You're entitled to your feelings. But imagine what it would be like if people were judging you based on pics or what you did in your personal time. Wouldn't feel good. Be the better person and don't take the cowards way out. The leaders mentioned are good people and they are not the cause of where the "company" is right now. SW could be kicking butt in comps and the same thing would have happened.

by | Post ID:

The things that I have posted are facts. Pictures have proven most of it. I am only speaking of what I have seen in person and on Facebook of her profile. That's all I can speak of.

by | Post ID:

You do have a right to say what you want. Not arguing that. But be an adult and say it to them rather than act like a child trolling. It makes you look worse than what you are trying to make them look like. Or post actual facts of your issues rather than rumors or opinion. If you feel the company has lost its culture than be the better person and show that you haven't. But this character defamation is pretty weak.

by | Post ID:

People on this site have every right to share their thoughts and what they have witnessed. If we disagree with her we will get targeted and get separated. I have seen it all too often.

by | Post ID:

If you have these issues why not say it to them rather than using this format? If you smile in their face when you see them yet talk trash in this forum you're as guilty as you claim them to be. Anyone can talk trash on the Internet. They are good people. Are they perfect? No but neither are most of you posting this crap.

by | Post ID:

Jennifer is ehh. Nona will smile and tell you anything to your face. Wait until she is behind closed doors with store leadership. Yianni is well respected because he says the truth without selling BS

by | Post ID:

Jennifer was Okay if she liked you. You just had to remember she was only out for herself. I did see other STLs terminated for trying to get away with some of the same things she did regularly

by | Post ID:

Let's talk product quality! In our region, they shipped this crappy frozen cookie dough to the stores to defrost, scoop out and bake. They were flat and tasted like sweetened crap. Yes, it was all natural --- all natural crap made with conventional GMO ingredients and mass produced. Then they charged a premium price because after all, these aren't your standard grocery store cookies, these were (trumpet fanfare) WHOLE FOODS COOKIES. We were not even allowed to bake our own cookies from scratch. I swear, Walmart had better cookies.

by | Post ID:

Another GREAT nickname: "Trott Daddy"... South Region WB coordinator. It actually showed up like that in email. You're not my Daddy you JERK! They finally forced him to change it to his real name when he jettisoned to store leadership. The question is, what experience did he have leading a store? What about the people who had worked for years trying to become store leaders?

by | Post ID:

I was up for a distribution center job and received a tip from someone in a support role at regional while doing my due diligence: The entire interview process was a dog-and-pony show, just a charade to make it look like they were actually considering a field of candidates. I even got invited to interview but the telling thing was that the closing date had been suddenly moved up to three weeks earlier. My STL (who had initially encouraged me to apply and thought I was well-qualified) said it appeared that they had someone in mind. He was absolutely right. The entire advancement process is a complete sham so it's no wonder you end up with second-rate yay-hoos who don't know jack occupying important roles. This was "strike one" with me, by the way, and I actually gave the company four strikes (not three) before deciding to make other plans. What a bunch of phony a**holes.

by | Post ID:

What a coward. She should have called you before the day of the interview. It's sad because I heard of that happening. The sad things that are allowed to happen in the southwest region

by | Post ID:

I had an interview for a job that was set for 3 weeks as an associate store team leader. The interview was set for 9am. I received a text the morning of the interview at 4:48am saying that the interview was postponed. All of this stemmed from Nona.

Why wouldn't the company have the same high standard for professional behavior in leadership, and the team as a whole, as it does for the product it carries? Such great lengths are gone to to redefine the standard for food - why is that same approach and ethic not applied to the human/leadership standard of behavior as part of the equation? Based on the ongoing behavior, it truly seems like there is no standard. The behavior in the SW region is so unprofessional that it is shocking. Completely out of touch, removed, arrogant, entitled, dismissive, and puerile - they are a dark cloud. And "leadership" actually has cliques - YES, like high school! And if you are in, you are protected and if you are not, not only are you not protected - you may even be targeted. That is toxic behavior in a workplace or anyplace for that matter. The general sentiment is that this is how it is at most companies. And that may be true. But THINK about that - why would a company with the goal to revolutionize the product standard totally neglect the people standard to the degree that the experience of working for them in terms of the leadership was the same as for any company. Bizarre disconnect! And truly an opportunity lost.

by | Post ID:

I worked at a store in the chicago suburbs and I had a tl who thought I had the hots for our store team leader (I didn't. I simply respected him professionally). She cornered me at inventory once and told me to back off that she saw him first. From that point forward she made it her life's mission to make me look like I wasn't good at my job. The best is her "husband" also worked in our store. I quit after 9 months. The place was insane. I am not surprised about any of these posts because I'm sure all the losers who work there are banging.

Lol how true. We all know it.

come see who david is f$ckin in the florida region........

by | Post ID:

Seriously you people are trashing people like Leigh, Carmen, and Beth because your mad at upper management . These people have truly big hearts and love their jobs and their people. They all have been great team leaders and are truly hurting because they are having to let people go from their work families. Remember they didn't get to chose who was fired the upper management told them who was leaving or what jobs were being elemenated from their stores. And remember we all work with some people that everyday we wonder how the hell the even have a job when we know we are busting out asses and they are just flat out lazy or in ethical ... We are given more chances to redeem ourselves at WFM than any other establishment would ever think about giving. I'm truly sorry some people got layed off but others who were already on their last write up deserve to be let go so that others could stay. Stop punishing others and trashing unless you know the real truth people. I don't agree with all of this that's going on but I don't believe trashing innocent people. Get a life ! Where is your proof that all of these people slept together ? Can one just be friends with upper management with out it being sexual?

by | Post ID:

It's called "Team Member Happiness" and keeping the team together and strong.

by | Post ID:

She also slept with Dewayne

by | Post ID:

I am personally aware of a few team members and stl's Nona have slept with,Beth, Carmen, Leigh, Kathy.

by | Post ID:

Marianne sells frozen food and food pre made at a premium price. But yet, it's "made right here" if we slack out scallopnini in the case. I don't see why Sonoma chicken salad is sold for nearly $12 while it is essentially chicken, mayo, grapes, pecans and honey. Other places make it and sale it for $5.00 a pound. The $12 a pound for product that is bagged for months then packaged does not set well with me. I would rather buy it from a competitor.

by | Post ID:

I can't believe Rebekah said, " I don't like talking in public, so I will not talk at a store meeting"

by | Post ID:

Nona and Flash have made their Facebook accounts private now!! Other company's fire people for pictures like that. I guess whole foods is pretty generous.

by | Post ID:

Flash and Nona have covered up their lavish lifestyle(on Facebook)of trips to her beach house, her and her underage daughter drinking at a bar, and of her drinking with her middle finger toward the camera with a few of her "6 pack"(family, her girlfriend that worked at whole foods, and her older daughter and Lacey?

by | Post ID:

Why does "Flash" have a nickname when nicknames are not allowed per the GIG?

I guess only team members are required to follow the rules, not "leaders"

by | Post ID:

I don't see any posts about Dallas Stl's

by | Post ID:

I don't see why Nona, and the regional Vice Presidents have the same job. The position cut should be hers'. Or eliminate 17 of those positions since they are doing the same job. Same thing for the department coordinators. Why are there 9 coordinators across the company doing the same job?!!

by | Post ID:

Salaries:

Flash: $$$$$500,000

Nona: $$$$400,000

Department coordinators$$110,000

Department associate coordinators$$75,000

Tls$$20-$30 hr

There are 9 flashes or regional presidents in the company across the 9 regions. That equates to 4.5 million of annual income to rps.

There are 18 Nona's or regional vp's since there are 2 in each region. That equates to $7.2 million of annual income for rvps.

There are 9 department coordinators in I each region, which equates to 81 across the 9 regions. That equates to $8.9 million to department coordinators.

There are 18 department associate coordinators in each region, which equates to 162. That equates to 12.2 million to acs.

Maybe if you cleaned in the store rather you all would not have been nearly shut down by the health department for being sooo dirty. Hahah!! Maybe when 15 people traveled to that store for the swag meeting they void have helped clean

by | Post ID:

Yes, Rebekah was horrible. No offense to the lgbt community, but if you were not a part of that group she hated you. I can't believe that she was an stl. She practically forced her astls to quit, and nearly every good tl to quit. That is why our store only does $50,000 a day now. Before she came we were doing $75-$80,000.

by | Post ID:

I've worked with Rebekah at VETS...she was a lying devil then. I heard when she was in Tulsa she has to leave because she was terrible and not trustworthy. A TL there told me that she gave everyone that was a tl and a few atls a key to the store so she would not have to open or close. There are supposedly 4 or five keys still missing. That is one of the reasons she was forced to leave that store

by | Post ID:

I have always like Marianne. Although she does not care about anyone's opinion except hers.

by | Post ID:

I have seen Jennifer Wind walk our store only to say, " I don't want to be here in front of me" I thought that was pretty rude to say in front of a team member and customers. We really did not want you here anyways
