Any idea when they will start vacuum cleaning the Cameron employees? My manager told me late October they will start trimming the Higher Management and then slowly but steadily in other levels too........

Cameron is not going down. Some that were let go with package deals will soon be called back as temprs. SCh messed up. They let some of Cams best workers go....now they try to fill positions with New hires that do not understand Cameron products, vendors, or how to get things done quickly, orderly and completed correctly.
Any one knows about the strategic of cameron's - Valves and measurement division and whether we can expect lay-off in india?
I hope SLB cuts the Cameron Subsea managers that I worked with in the past. They all deserve it.
It makes perfect sense, Selling the Divisions, CEO announcement of Retirement, New CIO hire, Accenture rolled in, IT Reorg......Time for the many of the managers to move on to a next job or report to a new manager, Camron international is sandwiched by SLB burger. More worries for the non permanent immigrants......Pack off to Romania or to India or to Pakistan...
In Cameron for the last 2 years the situation is so gloomy since they started selling various divisions and in parallel the CEO moved his retirement plans. Before 3 months SLB's implementation partner Accenture started analyzing the IT situation in Camron, though it was officially announced by CIO only 2 weeks ago, after heavy rumors started hovering around the building and just before the official sale was announced they declared Accenture is trying to do Reorg for IT that was a CRAP, so it's a well executed and well planned by Cameron & SLB's Management. In the next few weeks we can see the top management been rattled due to the organizational changes and early next year the work bees will be shown the door by Cameron Division head and they hired the CIO in IT few months ago to perform all these operation, on her entry she moved few directors and VP out of the Cameron. There is nothing to wait and watch, simply watch......
Just wonder if Cameron are layoff, who will do the subsea and surface job. The post is done by some job hunter?
Cameron Layoffs are inevitable and specially IT. Just matter of time, Accenture will fly their flags soon in SAP & Non-SAP area by IBM in Cameron IT, they are already there, and increasing their strength gradually but swiftly. Expect more changes in the last week of September and that changes will be in place by end of October. Cameron IT employees Thanks Giving will be little challenging and painful. Accept the fact
AnonOPEC - Varco? Do you mean National Oilwell Varco?
I was told layoffs will be done by October 31st. Upper management has their gold parachutes and don't give a crap. S.O.S.
Well i don't see how they can layoff any people at Cameron in October when the deal wont even close until 1st Qtr next year.
I feel that they will lay off the people in Cameron because they will not know who is best at whatever they do. Comparing SLB and Varco, SLB seems to be a very big corporations but lay off thousands at once, so the ceo and his kingdom will still earn money despite the change. Varco, is more into at least employee rights.it looks like SLB will be the Mr. Scrooge putting people to buy apartments at the age of 60 and not giving money for the workers that really depend on this job this Christmas, I can't wait to criticize this company in October
I don't see product engineering being cut since we don't have the flow control products.
Pay back is a b.
The normal SLB style based on the previous acquisitions, downloadbesttorrentblog.ru will start from the 3rd month of the acquisition and by 6th month majority say 65 to 85% will be rolled off. More than anyother divisions IT will be the vulnerable area because SLB has outsourced to IBM, SLB will slash the IT to a huge extent because they know that's one of the area where the $$$ are spent heavily when compared to revenue earned divisions or plants. In Cameron Deloitte is the Implementation partner and already they started to withdrawing their top and experienced consultants in IT and many are rolling off in September.
