More layoffs 1st qtr with less severance YES!!

Also Verizon restructuring titles.. Makes no sence. Associate Directors now moved to be call Sr.Mgrs. How about they get rid of all their Indian Leadership or keep it too under 10%

America should SERIOUSLY NOW start boycotting Verizon & go to their competitors, 70+% of Verizon's work is going to VDSI (Verizon Data Services India) Verizon's offshore company NOW WHICH IS the (IT Senior VP & CIO'S baby). . It's bad enough 99% of his mgrs & above..ALL Senior LEADERSHIP IS all Indian male. God forbid your not in the same cast or male. Your time is limited if your not an Indian male at Wireless or CMB.

HR turns it's head, with not having diversity in teams. Definitely not equal opportunity company unless your an INDIAN male.

Executive's pockets are becoming fuller as everyone else's jobs are being replaced. Our US government should tax the hell out of Verizon for basically raping the US economy.

More layoffs to come. Matter of time before all call center work is offshored also. Vzw focus on millenials & online sales. When they should focus on improving their websites & lowering prices. Not the American company we use to be.

Used to treat employees great until they decided to work their people 18 hours a day, same salary, no OT.. seriously Verizon is NOW has an Indian sweatshop mentality. Won't change till the CIO goes..VDSI is the new Verizon. Such a shame what they did to Bell Atlantic/GTE Vodafone... Verizon might as well close USA doors & more completely to India

I am Indian I feel your pain, vz senior management got Indians who are immoral, unqualified and unethical gave them big promotions and used them to layoff good hardworking people. America is about equal opportunity and meritocracy which I have not seen even 1% at vz telematics. They laid off lot of Indians as well who stick to their values without budging for their crazy and insane project proposals.

We are getting off course here. Some of you say that Indians are the future and some say they are ruining VZ. I have a question. Do Indians like pudding? If they do is butterscotch their favorite? I bet they like the cooked type that forms that rubber top. My point being that the Indians should stay in the casino business.

And for all those ignorant in India reading these message boards - America is slowly but steadily getting ready for 'made in America' stuff . Government slowly recognizing the damage this offshoring and outsourcing has done, taking jobs away, increasing unemployment, reduced retail spending etc...checkout reshorenow.org, government is helping companies bring back manufacturing jobs because they are CHEAPER AND BETTER when made in America . Let's hope the trend continues for other sectors too

Let's all pledge to buy as much American made and ask for as much American services . We can do this !!!

Verizon should just rip the band-aid and move all the jobs to India, more people will move away from Verizon services and their stocks will take a plunge. Verizon employees are their customers as well, existing customers will not tolerate third world customer service regardless of how "Superior" the network is. A product is useless without good customer service. At the end the day its not the end of the world, plenty of opportunity outside of Verizon, put that education to use. If the government cared whether American jobs were being outsourced, they could easily ban it, but that will never happen. If there are no jobs available for American Citizens, no one will pay taxes or pay for services it's as simple as that. People need to remember these services are a luxury not a necessity, if more people either boycott or discontinue services, these companies as well as the economy will crumble.. Which is a good thing, stop feeding the snake that keeps biting your head off. #h1b #offshoring

Lots of contract jobs, 12 month duration out there, with Verizon, I have a friend that got one of these jobs without any experience, just low pay

And inflation and corruption in India are always going up at crazy speed, and I wish it continues so VDSI will no longer be cheap . And take a look at your climate, you are the worlds largest polluter, try working on your own problems .

Verizon should JUST move close doors it's doors & move to India.. since majority of USA employees are being replaced by VDSI (VERIZON DATA SERVICES INDIA)
