If you have a Sears or Kmart company email id/ Enterprise ID (or have a friend that has one) you can logon to a work station in any store or a computer at home with this link "/" and see all of the Sears and Kmart stores that have closed and all of the stores that are scheduled to close for the next 3 months. They are only posted 3 months in advanced. I used to check this daily until my job was eliminated in March.

Thanks for your input. However, I was referring the Paducah K-mart on Lone Oak Hey NOT the Sears store. Sorry for not making myself more clear.
The Sears store in Paducah, KY is a REIT store own by Eddie, Seritage Growth Properties. I got this info off of the website. Go to the website and you can see all the stores by state.

Any news on the Paducah, KY store?
Eddie is not going to put a penny into updating any Sears or Kmart stores. In fact the company has cut back on the maintenance on the buildings. I was a QMT and my job was cut in March along with a lot of other QMT's across the country. The maintenance has been reduced and contracted out to vendors. What is not being contracted out is left up to the store associates to do. The stores do not have enough associates to play horseshoes let alone do maintenance.
If you think K-Mart looks like 1990,you should we our Sears store, not a penny has gone into any updates in years, the Scranton, Pa.,store was beautiful inside, that's where all the money has gone in this part of the state, but it is now closing.I guess we will see what happens.
Sales at the Scranton store weren't great, especially for its size and location. Even though there was a lot of foot traffic, it was brining in less money than smaller stores in worse areas. Its sad it had to go, but like most Sears stores it needed a drastic overhaul and better merchandise to compete. Dicks will make better use of the space going into the future. Sears really needs to renovate its stores if it wants any shot of continuing as a retailer. Walking into a Kmart is like visiting a third-world country, or stepping back to 1990. Modern JC Penney and Macy's stores offer a much better experience, without a higher price tag. If you walk into either of their stores, they are visually impressive. It just makes the merchandise look better. Leena Munjal wants to "focus on apparel", but it really doesn't matter what clothes Sears buys, they all look like junk in the dark and dreary Sears and Kmart stores. I don't see how Sears can compete, and SYW certainty isn't the answer.
Scranton,pa Sears store is set to close on April. 22,2016, then go into liquidation to July. It is store 1534, if you look at their sales figures since the closure was announced on Wednesday, their sales has doubled. We are in a store only about 20 minutes from Veiwmont Mall,in a smaller market but we are still staying open as of yet. How have sales been in other stores that are set to close?
June 26 last day for 1594 Beaver valley mall Monaca pa
Much of the left over real estate has been put up on the new loan. If Sears doesn't pay or can't come up with a profit making plan they will go down also. Please don't drink the cool-aid and think that this company will survive in any form. Just look at the Sears Facebook page to see how the customers are reacting to this company. Look at reviews of customer service and employee complains, lawsuits, vendors bailing and demanding cash and carry terms etc.
Not long before this company is a study in business text books on how to destroy a once great retailer
They gave most of the "A" stores to Seritage, because those are in desirable malls and are actually worth something. Apparently all of the now rented stores will be slowly closed down as Seritage finds new tenants. That's why some of the large profitable stores are closing--Seritage is ending the rent agreements to find better tenants. The B stores were mostly kept with SHC, and they don't have to pay rent on those stores so most will remain open. The B stores are smaller and in second tier malls, so they don't bring in much revenue. Basically the company is in controlled liquidation.
Are most of the Sears stores that are closing A stores? I know the Scranton,pa.,store is an A store. Why is Sears closing the largest stores and leaving the smaller stores open?
Sears plans to close its Eastdale Mall department store and auto center this summer, abandoning one of the anchor spots in the area’s largest indoor mall.
Both the store and auto center will close to the public in “late June,” Sears Holdings Director of Corporate Communication Howard Riefs told the Advertiser. He said 56 people work there.
“Those associates that are eligible will receive severance and have the opportunity to apply for open positions at area Sears or Kmart stores,” Riefs said.
Sears Holdings, which also owns Kmart, plans to close at least 50 stores this year. Sears reported a $1 billion net loss in 2015, including a $580 million loss in the fourth quarter.
“Store closures are part of a series of actions we’re taking to reduce ongoing expenses, adjust our asset base, and accelerate the transformation of our business model,” Riefs said.
The Eastdale Mall store will begin a liquidation sale April 22.
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — Sears at the Fort Steuben mall has announced that it will be shutting its doors for good.
The retailer and auto center announced it will officially close in late June. A liquidation sale will start April 22.
In the meantime, shoppers are saying the large retailer will be missed.
"Sears has been around as long as I can remember. When I was a kid and used to go in Sears, it was Sears and Robuck, and we used to shop there for everything. It's going to be greatly missed," said Patricia Smith, Sears shopper.
"I'm going to miss Sears. I like being able to come to Steubenville to shop at Sears, rather than go outside of the valley," another shopper stated.
On Wednesday evening, the company released a statement about the 53 affected employees. They are eligible to receive severance packages and have the opportunity to apply for open positions at area Sears or Kmart stores.
This follows the earlier announcement that Kmart at the Tri-State Plaza will shut down this month.
Sears Holdings will close a West Des Moines customer service call center that employs more than 160 people in June.
The company recently filed a notice with the state about the closure, and a spokesman confirmed the plans to the Register in an email Tuesday. Sears Holdings is the parent company of Sears and KMart department stores.
"Sears Holdings is implementing a strategy to optimize our customer service resources to meet the needs of our evolving business," Howard Riefs, Sears' director of corporate communications, said in the email.
In the state notice, Sears said the closure will affect 162 employees.
Riefs said Sears' lease for the West Des Moines building expires in 2017. The company has decided not to renew it.
Employees who are eligible will receive severance and be able to apply for open positions with Sears, he said.
The Sears store and Sears Auto Center at the Viewmont Mall in Scranton are closing, according to company officials.
A Sears spokesperson said the company is closing some of its stores to reduce expenses.
A liquidation sale is scheduled to begin on April 22.
The store in the Viewmont Mall will be closed for good by mid-July.
Officials said 86 employees in the store and auto center can apply for open positions at other Sears or Kmart stores.
To find out store number location just google store name and number, usually location will appear in the search....
"Whats the difference between an "A" store and a "B" store?" "A" stores are the bigger or biggest stores. "A" stores store numbers all start with the number 1 and "B" stores all start with the number 2.
What will they have to show or distribute when the vendors stop shipping product. The vendor backlash will be soon.
dont be surpried if in near future, large suburban stores become showrooms and distribution centers for sears.com.
Steuben mall sears and viewpoint mall sears announced to close. Were they on this vendor portal as closing? If so was it ahead of the announcement?
Any in the Philadelphia area getting the ax?
Whats the difference between an "A" store and a "B" store. I know there is a special SYW region with the important flagship stores, is that it?
Sears - Beaver Valley Mall # 1594? search engine check...Beaver Valley Mall, Monaca, PA? Why?.. did your number come up on vendor portal?
Sears store #1594 is an "A" store in the Beaver Valley Mall located in Monaca, PA.
Where is store 1594?
Has anyone heard anything about Sears closings in Pa.?
Heard yesterday that store 1594 is closing in June. (Sears).
Interesting. Usually they give 3 month notice according to most news reports of closings. If anyone logs in let me know if any Massachusetts stores are closing. Also it looks like the closings may be starting up again after a month dryspell. A Kmart and a distribution center announced yesterday.
