Thread regarding Cameron International Corp. layoffs

Tanner Road Houston is closing down.

Last day is June 30th. Products being slit up between different international locations and people are out to fend for themselves. Severance packages are better than nothing at all but not what should have been expected. Pray everyone finds a new place to work soon.

I work there - it's exactly clear to me that the person that made this decision, did it because of a pissing match he had with another Cameron executive. If Schlumberger lets this happen, then they deserve everything that is going to happen to them. Tanner road is the back bone to the Texas industry. Please if you are Schlumberger and you are reading this, you need step back and look at the bigger picture. Was this transaction done to hurt to or help you?? Tanner road did things that no other plant could achieve. Of course, you will figure that out when the stuff blows up in the field.

The plant manager(s) that I have worked for are the best of the best. Granted everyone has an opinion, I have never ever heard them say anything bad about anyone.

The shop folks are the bomb!! Some company is going to great get some great folks. People that do their job, that don't set in a glass house with their all important BS degree handing on the wall. These folks do the work that you get your bonuses on.

Move the line overseas ? What were you thinking?? Your bonuses would be bigger, how many life's have you put in danger?? I hope you get what you deserve and a whole lot more!! Because you deserve it!!

Cameron V&M in Edmonton, Canada has many of those slackers. A gong show there. Time is ripe to shut it down and move manufacturing to Asia.

I feel bad for some of the folks at Tanner Rd. Two years back it was a $90M a year revenue generating plant which was a complete cluster f---. The Plant Manager who had his assbooted out did jack squat except make racist jokes and jerk off.

Some of the guys in the shop and other folks did all the heavy lifting and made that plant successful and now they are shutting it down. F--- Surface and its bullshit and I hope everyone of those motherfuckers at the time gets it...soon.
