We get 25% off plans. No wonder many people on wireline side don't even have Verizon for cell phone service! CWA should of negotiated free cell phone service and free FiOS for wireline employees!

It dates back to the Vodafone days when the two companies were separate. The employees at wireline gotba pretty big non wireless employee discount . Nowadays it's slowly changing . But wireless employees also don't get the same landline discounts .they're treated like red headed step children at FiOS and landline
I switched to t-moblie 4phns they gave me 6g data each phone unlimited talk and txt and free netflix streaming without data usage and free data roll over up to 20g all for about 130 a month and using my same phones great deal.with vz i wad paying 280 a month for less ..verizon took my medical and put me out for 6weeks and wanted take take my benefits away .going to get rid of my fios next.
Simple, switch to a company that didn't cancel your family's health insurance. I went to AT&T since they are union (CWA).
Lowell stood on stage at a quarterly event and pulled a flip phone out and said, does anybody remember these. Are you kidding me, your employees use those. I get pulled in the office and my boss says, you have been downloading apps on your phone . I pull out my flip phone, can you show me how you do that,you can't make this stuff up.
Verizon doesn't offer "service". It's more like $$$ for nothing, EWAs for free.
And a 100% discount wouldn't be enough to offset the aggravation of dealing with Verizon.

In a webcast from early 2014,Mcadams said a universal 50 percent was coming for ALL employees in the fall.Part of,the one verizon BS.surprise never happened.Lie after lie .Never ends
Union associates were harassing customers and store employees for the entire strike. Now, You feel you should get a deeper discount? You are not the same as mgt, that is why you get less. You will always get less.
I switched to AT&T after having been with VZ Wireless almost 20 years. The conditions leading up to this strike led me to realize that this company no longer cared about me so I show no loyalty to them. With my family plan and rollover data on AT&T I'm getting more services for the dollar and it's actually $10 cheaper with the CWA discount than the employee 25% discount was. That's absolutely pathetic on VZ's part. Also, no difference in coverage. I used to tell everyone how awesome the VZ network was but that went out the window especially since I have many friends and family who are still irritated that they receive FiOS ads constantly but can't get it.

OP, it's because you smell like foot fungus and a$$ sweat. No one in Verizon wants you, and therefore you don't get the discount. Union slobs suck enough out of the company already. Guess your union bosses taught you well
, laugh all you want, but when there is no longer anywhere for wireless to hide billions in mismanaged business decisions, the stock will come crashing down. Within the next 5-7 years, Verizon will be the 4th largest U.S. wireless carrier and despite all of your mad skills, you will still be seeking employment after being laid off later this year.
The day Verizon cancelled my medical, I switched to Sprint. Now I pay $100 less per month, and everyone has unlimited data.
It's a disgrace. All along Lowell McDumba** says that wireline needs to be on the same page as the rest of the company when it come's to benefits. Yet the only ones who get 50% off Wireless services are Wireline Mgt and Wireless employees. But Wireless employees also get the same discounts in Fios service that the wireline associates get.
You be surprised on how many Wireline Associates(Union) employees and their families are with other carriers because of this reason. We get a better deal from the other carriers. And when you tell someone that you have T-Mobile, Sprint or At&T they look at you like "WTH are you not with the company you work for".
And John Stratton can't figure out that if they offered the wireline employees the same discount, Verizon would be looking at adding potentially 156k more customers.(39k employees averaging 4 lines per family)

The funniest thing going is when we are at a customers house using the Verizon provided "flip" phone and the customer says, "You work for Verizon and they don't even provide you with a smart phone?" Why on earth would anyone have VZ Wireless? I have 4 phones with unlimited data through TMobile and pay only $120/month. Service is not just as good, I'd argue that it is actually better than VZ. Once VZ sells off the rest of the landline assets, look for the stock to go into the toilet and look for VZ to be on the bottom of the 4 major carriers.

LOL and management gets 50%, but union now gets 25% on 401k where we get 16%. You can't have everything.
