Thread regarding CDK Global Inc. layoffs

Current associate

CDK just announced they will be closing another North American office - this one in Montreal. Employees that will be losing their jobs in December are being forced to participate in "knowledge transfers" to, you guessed it, India. Although this round of layoffs doesn't directly involve US based associates, it's the same old story - let's transfer as many jobs as possible to India as quickly as we can. And we'll make the current associates smile as they train their replacements. Otherwise, no severance package. If you are not Indian, or a cheerleader for CDK's treasonous job exporting scheme, you are of no use to this company.

You know what CDK, a big part of Indian culture is based on belief in karma. If karma actually does exist, the profits gained by your scheming may be little consolation when karma starts kicking in for/on you.

And to CDK clients - if you only how you're viewed by this company.... That's a story for another day.

Hmm. I know of one employee in Montreal whose job is being preserved; this employee will be working from home from now on (until the job goes away i guess).

I work for a U.S. CDK Global office, and most of us know this will hit us sooner or later. The scheme is to replace North American workers with cheaper Indian counterparts and bring in interns and 'fresh out of college' software engineers who demand less money. The company guesses they won't stay around long enough to earn too much. Lately Indians have been hired as managers, then brought to the U.S. for 'training' so they can understand North American car dealers then sent back to India. We will see how Lithia and Autonation likes dealing with non-Americans/Canadians for their problems. I predict they will not.

As if laying off 5% of our global workforce in April wasn't enough. They'll be many more joblosses in the next few years while service to our customers gets worse.
