Thread regarding Inovalon Holdings Inc. layoffs

I agree

Something seriously wrong inside inovalon. After earnings report early August 2016, massive layoffs. No explanation given except reorganizing. Worked over 9 years with company and it has been extremely disorganized. Poor management, uninformed staff, ridiculous format for data analysis. They would rather employ minimum wage workers than retain quality staff. Several years ago the clientel they would hire were unprofessional. They cleaned up quite a lot, but retreating to old habits. Bad news at inovalon.

I"m caught in this lay off with 9+ years in the company. They told me I could reapply. They are cutting hours down to 32 for regular people, or seasonal hours. The head of the QA department walked out the other day. And these last 4 days have been a mess. Hardly any charts (I work from home), almost intolerable.

For those who are not let go; here is the new reality.....32 hour work weeks, only allowed to work core business hours (no more 4 10's or starting at 6am) The director of quality walked out and the precepting team was dissolved into regular quality staff. Look elsewhere for a job, this ship has sunk! Total outsource by mid 2018.

Another layoff...first of the year, May 10th 2017. Many long employed nurses. Told the company is moving in another direction. Office closures, class action lawsuits, layoffs, Outsourcing...yes another direction indeed!

Inovalon is starting to outsource more jobs. I question whether there are legal issues with using out-of-country contractors or vendors that will have access to medical PHI (protected health information). If there is a security breach in one of these countries will there be legal recourse for those whose information was compromised? Will Inovalon even be responsible? I guess I should start training for a different career...I expect my position will be outsourced/restructured/eliminated within the next year or two...

A Securities Class Action Lawsuit has been filed against Inovalon this past July which may be the reason for the massive layoffs and terminations.

They have a Securities Class Action lawsuit against them

I was a SRC that too got the call in early August from HR no longer needing my services. I'm an RN with a BSN that within 15 years have had only 2 jobs, one a 10 year and the other 4, then Inovalon to grow more; I try to grow and hold stability where ever I work. I was told that around this time that I would be offered full time in September, switching over to Quality Assurance. I'm used to working 40+ hours a week, a lot of times, going 110-120 every 2 weeks when overtime was offered, when work started slowing down consistently, and remote work was not available for me anymore and that there was not work for me as an SRC for my state (I worked remote 85% of the time). I am a bit relieved reading this thread though, I was really thinking that it was something that I did wrong because I'm still a bit new at it. So this happened to many employees, even long term ones, wow.

I worked for Inovalon a little over a year as a SRC that was promoted to the Quality team 5 months ago. Everything has been great (or so I thought). I too received a call Friday from HR for which was missed and sent to voice-mail, with a message stating they need to talk to me "about an important matter regarding my employment ." I arrived home Thursday the following week from vacation with a FedEx express mailing I'm my door. Inside was my "termination " letter stating they were letting me go due do them downsizing and have less hours available. I call BS. Such a disgusting company to do this to individuals.

300+ affected last week. They don't even hire many nurses now, replaced with nursing assistants, medical assistants, and medical clerks. I'm sure working for about half of what nurses were paid. Should have known something was going on when raises were skipped this year and the lull in the work recently. I don't know about outsourcing, but I'm sure they will not get the quality of work that they supposedly strive to maintain.

I was a site data consultant. Worked with them 5 years. Only received praise from my lead. The same week I received a glowing mid year evaluation on a Monday ..on Friday I was abused by a call from HR telling me my services were no longer needed due to a lack of work. ( I had been doing forty hours of remote work consistently in weeks preceding this layoff so this was untrue. After my layoff I spoke with other site data collectors in my Geo code who were employed fewer years with the company and were not let go but told me they were making less than me so this is probably why I was left go. Many others were laid off but I still see ads advertising for new employees. So disheartening. I put my heart and soul into my work. Feel like I have had the wind s---ed out of me. Beware....prospective employees

"Site Review Consultant"

There is very poor communication between employees and management. Worked for them for almost 4 years and out of the blue was called and left go with no reason as to why...Very disorganized and unprofessional!

"Review specialist"

Former Employee - Review Specialist in Lansing, MI

I worked at Inovalon full-time (More than 3 years)

This company has proven to its employees that they are nothing but a number. They are not human, they are dollar signs. There is no job security whatsoever. Yesterday this company decided to send several employees, many who have put in there time with the company (5-10yrs), packing. With absolutely no warning. All of these dedicated employees show up to work yesterday as if it would be any other day at the office, only to find hired security and upper management from the main head quarters. Employees received a call to come to a conference room, were advised they were being fired, and escorted out by security. How awful? These people have homes, children, families, and have been dedicated employees to a plummeting company and that is what they receive in turn. When I say several employees, I mean right around 50 individual employees from ONE office. Please note, there is only a little less than 150 employees in the office to begin with. It's a sad, sad day. Welcome to corporate America where Dr. Keith Dunleavy is sitting pretty on plenty of cash, meanwhile letting go of people simply just trying to earn a living wage.
