I worked at Cablevision over 20 years - I was retired in 2015 and promised a ten year cable benefit package of my services . Altice took over and sent everyone letters stating NO more benefits -
I am fighting this . I know for a fact anyone else in my boat is going through same situation.
I think a class action suit needs to be taken with Altice .
That is the reason why most of stayed so long at Cablevision is for that Cable package . Now it's been ripped away from us . Altice Human Resources have attitudes and act as though we do not matter .
stop acting like a english major, you corporate clown always ostracizing someone, you understood what he meant to say. Are you upset because he is saying the truth. If you signed over to Ats it might be too late, you voluntarily quit your job, and after all you said you still signed. I do not get it sometimes you have to go against the grain and fight don't let these guys sell you a bill of goods. don't let them intimidate you. I hope you get a union in Oakland someone has to break through, keep pushing.
Proper equipment??? Let me know how that works out for you. How bout pay mortgage, feed family, and pay for kids education. God forbid someone gets sick. Keep praying my friend.
How can a union help you get the proper equipment you need to work curious ? I'm optimistic things can only get better. Continue to do your best everyday. Have Faith and believe.
Your right, if they offered the same packages to everyone with at least 8-15 years or more instead of that 70 number, I know a lot of guys would jump over hurdles including myself to take it without question. We are all fustrated and tired with not getting our requested stock to do our jobs. Then they want to write us up. Since they came everything has gotten worse. We have lost benefits, higher premiums, time off has shrunk, moral is low and then forcing us, using promises disguised as a choice to join this new vague company ATS. There is no handbook guide how this new company will operate, its mostly vague on their word of mouth. Although they said it's all voluntary we believe we still didnt have a choice,. We had to accept it now. The threats of not retaining our positions in a year or more if we didn't sign on now, their might not be a positions left to migrate over to ATS. We would be denied future training plus working on the new fiber technology they are promising. We beleive we are being ostracized, left behind, demoralised and isolated if we had continued to stay with Altice. Although I already signed over to ATS, I didn't believe they gave us much of a choice, I will make sure that I am voting for the union on March 1, 2017. God Bless the United States of America and us Americans.
Maybe you should consider going to school and learning the difference between "loose" and "lose" before you continue with your ramblings.
The company is already treating the work the way they treat their employees. Have you seen the tackle boxes lately? No two ways. No balanced three ways, no zip ties, no ground blocks, etc. It's the supplier though. This place is a f---ing joke.
