This company wants to get a big share of the US infrastructure upgrade but they don't want to pay American technical people to do the work. The engineers will be next. As this thing evolves more of the engineering work will be done outside of the US while AECOM reaps exorbitant profits from the American tax payers. The same tax payers who put Tom Peck through the military academies by the way.

Left_Already .... Austin IT gang blowing stuff up??? The AECOM infrastructure was a train wreck when they got bought out. Vmware clusters with mixed CPU types, Hosts sitting on the docks at datacenters unused, storage grossly mis-configured, I could go on and on. Many of the people on that Austin IT staff were working 60 hour weeks to try and un screw that environment up.

First IT are out the door... AECOM are also currently looking at outsourcing the remaining support services, so Finance and HR departments will be gone soon too

Packing up my stuff now just in case i am give pink slip. Screw you all.

by | Post ID:

Too late, you got screwed. Tell me all your secrets and then you can leave with empty pocket.

I get to keep my job for a lower salary and work harder for IBM before they lay me off in a few months? No thanks AECOM. We all should leave as fast as we can. Peck is full of sh-- - always has been. So is our lame President who got a promotion a few months ago. Kadenacy is the worst! This is all his doing.

Peck is a puppet - a military man taking orders. Don't kid yourselves! This is the multi-millionaires Kendenacy and Burke.

Are you people really surprised by this? After the URS Austin IT gang started blowing up IT URS got bought by AECOM and it went even further down hill. Look at Pecks history and he does this everywhere. Many good people left and saw this coming a long time ago. Good to luck to everyone.

Bye Aecom

by | Post ID:

he should have looked nervous. clearly everything he spoke was set up for him. what really got me was the whole "oh we cant do this on our own" - you f---in' said two years ago we COULD you d--k! you were so c---y and confident then and now look whats happened.

He'll walk into another $1m a year CIO job (and f--- them over) we'll all be looking for we can get I guess

Tom Peck looked like he was going to pass out from nerves and sweating through his suit. Someone mentioned Peck bringing a body guard to Austin; maybe that's why he was nervous, there was an angry mob outside the door. I'm kind of surprised he didn't broadcast the video from the safety of the shareholders' boardroom.

Tom Peck is full of crap. I was on his meeting earlier and he fluffed the whole thing up to sound like a 'strategic partnership' which was going to be great for everyone. Opportunities here, opportunities there and a few, inevitable, casualties.

That's BS, Peck is a coward and his entire global team have been shafted, this is about saving money and the fact the CEO thinks he's a d--k. He hasn't got the balls for the fight and is happy to sacrifice the guys on the ground to save his own crummy career. If he'd gone the right way about giving the teams that do the work the right tools and pushing the business for investment then we wouldn't be in this mess.

Typical AECOM exec management, screw you over just as soon as look at you.

IT actually did not do this. Finance is behind this move. You can blame the finance centric arrogant management for this one. It starts at the top and was forced down on IT. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE. Finance should have checked with Disney to see how there outsourcing deal went. There are lawsuits everywhere on that deal.

by | Post ID:

Accountants trying to figure out how to run IT. Amazing URS had it working and AECOM screwed it the pooch. But lets double down on stupid. Wait until they realize the screwed up and try to rebuild what they tore down. HA!

by | Post ID:

AECOM does not value IT. Anyone that decides to stay will get the axe at some point. Time to move on and find someone that does.

by | Post ID:

yeah and the games will be begin. work hard, kick a--, and then eff you! you are gone. Its probably a blessing to get out of this sh-- bag company that treats IT like the plague

by | Post ID:

Rumor has it the high and mighty Tom Peck will be in Austin today with a body guard to keep him safe. What a brave leader. The spin will be we are partnering with IBM. Don’t believe it. This is 100% outsourcing. I agree about tweeting Trump, or your senator / congressman, to let them know AECOM is outsourcing IT. These jobs will end up in India and Mexico.

Peck Peck Pecker at it again. How will the new administration feel about a major government contractor outsourcing 1000 employees? Lets be honest, that's what is happening. Tweet Trump and lets find out.

Good luck everyone!
