Att indirect mgrs were not union nor were allowed to be. So they were replaced by a 3rd party. Tmobile wasnt union and they were replaced and now they are going back to corp reps jan 31st. Sprint is moving all indirect reps, to work for store managers. FAIL to see anything that "union" could or would have done since unions want stores..20-30 people indirect is just one paycheck at a time. Drop the union crap, its why unions are falling apart, they only care about workers dues, not there welfare. Its why wireless moving to outside companies, unionize and watch you job go away. Ask the New York retail store that unionized...oh you cant. its closed.

Unions absolutely help. It's necessary to have an entity with equal strength to the employer to bargain fairly. Otherwise the workers get the short end of the stick. If you don't like union dues, have a union that runs on volunteers only. If you think there won't be incentive to work, your wrong. There will be the positive incentive of better pay and treatment instead of negative incentives like fear and empty promises of advancement. It's true you can't help if the company wants to close your worksite, but with collective bargaining you can negotiate a situation that makes a terrible situation better. Think better severance and/or training/placement in new positions. And lastly having a target on your back is only a concern if you are afraid and don't have the support of your fellow workers. We wouldn't have the countless worker rights that we do if it weren't for people coming together and fighting to shift the balance in favor of the people doing the actual work.

Unions are NOT good. You pay monthly just to be part of them costing you more money! On top of that there is no incentive to do better so your store is more likely to be low performing. Low performing = more likely to close. Unions cants save you if they close your store or eliminate the need for your position. Unions are a stupid costly decision that put a target on your back.

Att is union . The company (att) wanted to make moves similar to Vzw and cut thousands of jobs but the union saved their jobs . They were gonna send 3k jobs overseas . And now all employees got a 1k signing bonus. . Vzw retail. Wake up and smell the coffee . />

Unions are a good thing forget that management tells u.

Think about all the benefits:

-guaranteed raises / not performance based

-retirement medical benefits

-voice in work place /strength in numbers (40k fought last year 40k kept their jobs)

-greviemce process

-someone to fight for your job when management approaches u about performance .

And so much more

Congrats to att
