Capgemini India using dirty tactics to make people leave

They are giving forced rating of 4 meaning 0 hike and no bonus. Demoting and pushing employees to bad project. Using these tactics they wann employees to resign.

All this making CG India real bad company to work for.

I left CapGemini quite some time back. I was a team lead. My juniors who had good rapport with my manager made my life a hell. They used to come late and leave early. Never used to enter time sheets and leaves for unplanned leaves in PACE in a correct way. I was advised to keep rapport with these guys. In the end they got promoted and I was labelled as a weak leader.

I was asked to behave in a professional way.

Political behaviour is rewarded in this company.

This is really true..in Capgemini... however hard you work, people who butter up their managers are clean and untouched and these idiots get more work opportunities as well.

Even if your work is good, 1-2 simple mistakes from you end are highlighted to the management and glorified, then a rating of '4' is given and then they play all kinds of dirty politics in the name of cost cutting so that you leave Capgemini. ... definitely not a good place to work...one fine day HR calls you for some anonymous discussion & give you the awful terrible news that you are fired.....what the hell?

This happened with me and also is happening with many other employees. .. absolutely unprofessional people..esp. the HR and the senior management.

Management iz very very worst in Capgemini. Its completely manager driven company. They cut bonus at developer level showing the BU has not reached the target as expected where as they promoted at Associate director, director, senior director & VP level of same BU and distribute all developer bonus to them. You cant digest others money. You have to payback with interest in someway. If not today may be later some year. Dont use our money for your family member too. Dont include them in your unethical earnings. They made a looser joker to India CEO who does not know how to represent media. A blunt comments given by him but Capgemini does not take any action on him. Bad times started. After few year if same leadership continue, you will see Capgemini will be no more. Its being sold to some other company.

Upgrade & upskill is a mantra to sustain in d current market situation.It's very easy to Blaim others for our failures but it takes courage to take ownership of our own actions.i have been working in CG since two years & yes,have seen some roadblocks but that has not stopped me from growing in CG. One has to be focused on what he/ she wants to achieve in life.Cg has given a great platform to me to interact with leaders who are inspiring.I got an opportunity to learn something new .I have a great team & good manager who not only take care of my professional growth but are also genuinely concerned about my well being.i have been always given challanging work which keeps me going.i am looking forward for enriching career with Capgemini.

After statement from India CEO that "65% of Capgemini employees lack basics knowledge"...Still the notice period is 90 days... People who have resigned and are on bench have 90 days notice period....Variable pay is part of CTC and is cut down drastically...

Worst company to work, policy's​ are not good. People who joined 6 month before to Capgemini got bonus, people who onboard from igate to capgemini and who has year of experience didn't.

Capgemini India is not Capgemini. I worked there for 7 years, worked in 5 other country locations and this is my informed take.

Two big problems in Capgemini India.

One - amazingly low level of mutual respect. Vice Presidents set the trend by abusing people in public and encouraging others to play dirty with colleagues.

Two - handful of so called leadership guys indulge into all sorts of practices for their bonus. Things like making people overwork, billing them for 14 hours a day, working with numbers in reports are rampant.

After buy and Integration with Igate,

  1. Variable pay reduce to 90% its part of CTC.

  2. working hours increase 9 to 9.5 hours.

  3. People who regions in December they loose whole variable pay (its part of CTC).

  4. Insurance to parents removed.

  5. Night shift free dinner removed.

  6. Cost cutting everywhere

  7. So many.

  8. Most of employee searching for job outside.

In Capgemini...politics is worst...specially in Discover account also...Managers get good hike every year but maximum employees get less hike... Need to change "I am the boss attitude". Also sometimes managers threaten you about aprisals.

Reality is Capgemini India management is un professional and does not work or treat technical people as other MNC do the Management and HR are filled with negativity if some one complains or advice to HR on wrong and injustice things done by manager they ignore it and try to remove people who have raised voice against them .Capgemini management don't see on quality and customer satisfaction they only concentrate on target and management filling there pockets ..........It won't take much time to lose market value when you don't have quality resources

These days it's not sufficient one knows how to perform their day job. Gone are the days when you performed your job and would receive a 10% hike year on year. People should understand the changing times. Also, every employee is excepted to market his or her talent within the team, to their manager, and to the organisation at large to be noticed. If you want to shine amongst 200k people and you believe you have the right talent to shine, then you should market yourself aggressively. Another aspect is about continual learning. If you stop learning you stop growing. Capgemini suffers from problems most other IT companies suffer today. It takes a very different skill set in addition to the technical skills you have to succeed in this highly competitive environment. So please wake up, understand what you need to upgrade yourself with, be willing to contribute more, aggressively market your talents, engage your manager protectively in reviewing your performance at least thrice yearly and you will succeeded.

Worst practice by the India management to protect their vastly oversized but incompetent VP's and directors who have nothing else but to try and squeeze the employee benefits to protect their jobs. Capgemini has became a company of no growth, bleak future for the employees.

Capgemini needs a real makeover on leadership and policies. Specially 360review is much needed to maintain quality resources. N+1s are misusing rating belcurve this has to be stopped. They can not give 4 rating just for their ego. Behaviour of I AM THE BOSS should be abolished.

It won't take much time to lose market value when you don't have quality resources

A lot of what is being said true. Many people who don't deserve get promotions. Depends on how close you are too your manager. And the manager's manager. If your manager has no power you will be loose out on opportunities. No job rotation.

Recently AXA tech was sold to Capgemini the main reason was managment cos AXA managers were useless to managers with all fake KPI,s for client. ...Now capgemini instead of removing these Managers who spoilt AXA tech they are running AxA project with the same managers with heavy salary and removing Technical people instead of removing unskilled managers woh are siting in company with reference and playing only politics.if they remove 1 m1 band manager 5 technical people can work.... Its all politics and favouritism and open lies run here they dam care for quality nor for hardwork...

Manager especially in Morgan account are the worst. The so called kanbay managers who are working since last 15 years should be first kicked off from the company .

There is nothing such that is happening in Capgemini. It is really a good company and work culture is much better than TCS. Managers are supportive and there is nothing like micro management that happens in CG.

Regarding hike : Every service industry is giving their employees 6% hike so it's not only CG that is to be blamed.

And people from HSBC having a tool sapiennce which tracks on system hours which needs to b 8 this is next to impossible. A Very bad targeted project where everyone is getting insulted in abusive language in meeting rooms twice a day

Recently CG has applied a new policy for erstwhile IGATORS that is the system policy which has 4:1 ration. They didn't notify anyone about this. They just came in and unplugged and dismantled all the systems at Pune Hinjewadi location. That was the unethical thing for an IT company not to provide systems for its own employees! My manager gave me a 4 rating though I was available throughout the project. I was the only resource to come in night shift and on holidays and major festivals too, though my manager gave me a 4 rating with 0 hike and no promotion. And this 9:30hrs policy is the ugliest policy I've ever heard in IT industry. Few managers are worst, esp mine, he gave fast track promotion to his lady (other manager) who doesn't even do anything. That frustrates me more. He is a biased as***le.
