OwWhUI5-3ima, I agree with you a 100%. One plant manager is either a used car salesman or he was a refrigerator salesman in Alaska! He's a complete joke and disgrace.

60% is still over paying those grunts
Thought baker Aberdeen were already on 60% salary cut. Going from bad to worse.
That why BH Aberdeen are on 40-50% pay cut just now. More cuts to come as low oil price will not recover.
Money? Money? We dinnae work for nay money. We work for the privilege of having the right to say "Let no man look down on any of us for we are the King of the North, the Jewel in the Crown"
So how come Mumbai and Calcutta techs make more money than BOD? Are they better educated?
We dinnae waant ony outsiders poking aroond 'n' copying oor ways. They ur oor ways honed ower centuries, that belong 'ere. Keep awa' fae oor ways.
GE needs to take a look at the Bridge of Don and take notes. Learn their ways.
A real tough situation. So many of these bad managers in this region are now working for the competition. Thus they know Bakers business. Add to this the fact Baker still has a lot of corruption going on in these regions.
I just do not see how GE is going to improve on this.
Good example of this is the mess on a frac well where Aberdeen were run off within 1 week of starting a new project losing 500 further wells as a result. Bad management, bad planning, unsuitable project team players. just one big mess and a huge embarassment.
BH would be the perfect case study on how not to run a company.
The worst thing baker did was move to Baker Hughes One. It removed experience and accountability. People were put into positions they had little experience for and there was no accountability as the level above them didn't know much about that business sector and didn't know if performance was good or bad.
I hear there are a few, who are 'still' spending millions and not being held accountable! Guess eventually these types of unaccounted expenditures will surface!
Hopefully GE will straighten Baker out . Baker is a snake pit full of people who have no clue or interest in what they are doing . This is not just here or there see it everywhere . how did some of these people get their jobs ? Bring a person in from the contact lens industry to run a manufacturing plant supply chain.................. These kind of decisions have plagued this new Baker Hughes and made a once proud and successful company a complete joke and mess.
GE needs to look at a lot of things in baker. They have some good tools but A lot of bad managers have cost a lot of money with bad decisions. Excuses and lies from management in aberdeen come out big time
GE Leadership will straighten this out.
Well now you are talking about people that are friends of operators. If the operator wants a discount or a break on an invoice they give it.
Take a look at the books!!! Hire private detectives!!!
In terms of pedigree you got cheer leaders, relatives, the fraternity and sorority gang, fat drunks, football players, golfers, and general hanger-on's. On the other hand the competition Schlumberger is much more professional and their people have an oil and gas background with respective degrees.
People milking the system with expense accounts for years.
HR, Management, and Martin have done a terrible job.
Its like describing a corrupt Latin American culture such as Venezuela.
Terrible, terrible way to set up and run a business.
Get rid of them
We didn't sign up for this. Disgraceful
