Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Being noble and loyal will bring you nothing at Allstate

To all of you self righteous noble employees, you are nothing but a number to the big guys in Chicago, Texas or next stop Bombay. Your time will come and the only thing your ambition and fine attitude will have got you is an ulcer. Watch your pension fund, wait you might not have one as you may been hired when they stopped that. At least you won't have to worry when they outsource it to a company that will loose it. Why are managers on a page called downloadbesttorrentblog.ru? Makes you think. Yes, employees DID leave and guess what many went back to shops in the area. I assure you they are not bringing coffee out the to few adjusters left when they inspect a car at their shop. I don't think Glenn is reading this, he does not have time and does not care. His job is to line the pockets of his shareholders. If it means you millennial managers have to move back in your parent's basement (if you are not already there) when he cuts your job, well good for you.

All you fools lack basic rules of English language - poor grammar, misspelling all over the place, incoherent thought process, terrible communication skills...how can anyone take you fools seriously?

Yeah, go ahead, let the insults start!

by | Post ID:

The comments are the result of the divisiveness that has evolved over the last decade within the company and has reached new heights due to Shapiro’s cut throat style of management. Such a shame what has happened to a once great company.

by | Post ID:

Wow. Reading this is interesting because I'm learning how pissed off some employees are and also how little some (I guess?) managers care. I just leave this here my only observation seems problem is not one or other but maybe both. just wow.

by | Post ID:

“How pissed off some workers are”.......are you kidding me ? 90% of these are the same guy (you)

It’s hard to mask the bad grammar, misspellings, and general borderline illiterate ramblings.

by | Post ID:

Lol I am learning about 1) how pissed some workers are and 2) worse I think how managers at Allstate laugh at points raised about strategic planning.

I think you guys are all a bunch of jokes, but really the so called "managers" who should lead just attack the poster instead of provide positive deflection.

Genpact here we come.

by | Post ID:

The guy keeps creating different pseudonyms, but it’s the same technology hating, millennial hating, stuck in the 80’s, neurotic guy, who’s waiting for the phone call.

by | Post ID:

Such a bunch of brainwashed Storm Troopers; marching in lock step with the home office liars. Get this straight: the minute Shapiro and company deems you a liability, YOU ARE GONE! No matter how many butt's you kiss or how much loyalty you show. I could care less about those skinny jean, designer glasses, Starbucks drinking millenial twits.

by | Post ID:

Yes, his total disrespect for our leaders suggests he’s never been able to progress past his current station in life, (feeding his frustration) and it seems his lack of security in his role suggests performance issues.

Sad !

by | Post ID:

Wow. That was the most rambling, incoherent, paranoid, delusional posting yet. The only thing he left out is his disrespect for our younger (millennial) employee group. He trashed the rest, as usual.

Post your name gutless wonder, Inspire is to provide feedback on CSL performances and im mature enoigj to refrain from "to mush work" but you clearly do not belong in position of leadership-- thats your only function is problem solver, setting on 5 meetings a day, reading excel sheets, surfing web for shopping and making personal calls. Middle mgt should examine mediocrity in CSL but they won't if self driven workface makes them look good.

Hey genius we do read business section, top execs have golden parachutes (ask Shapiro he took one after he ran Lib Mutual commercial into ground) then bond holders, then preferred stock down order priority and employees not under contract are LAST and if you mr business genius who quotes Erisa even understands difference between defined contribution vs defined benefit the former are only as good ad net worth company which is why when allstate changed and set deadline they offloaded all their best talent albeit most expensive, and you managers have stock options that working grunts don't so we understand your pay goes up when you offload legacy costs and labor. Drop demeaning monlogue although what I come to expect from management lately. "How's your morale" is solution so everyone to afraid to answer truthfully and all you ho types will pat selves on back with myopic focus one excels sheets about how it's improving. We are too scared to speak mind, there is no input from font line and is it too much to just want to make it to retirement when we bust our asses without your management philosophy dunjour on top of it. Keep drinking koolaid you middle managers will get offloaded second they can find efficiencies if scale too but somehow think you're insulated and underestimate knowledge base and wisdom of long term corp employees in post 80s/90s world when companies went from people aka personnel to "human resources" with depreciation schedules roflmao.

Guy is living in a bad Grisham novel.....

by | Post ID:

Yes, paranoid AND delusional.

by | Post ID:

“before the big boys cash out” ???? “Cook the books” ????? What world do you live in ? How frequently do you have the change out the tin foil on your windows ? Is it true that it deflects the monitoring devices ???

by | Post ID:

You should spend some time learning how to read quarterly earnings releases, annual reports, independent financial analyses, credit service analysts (Moody, S & P), before you spew idiotic nonsensical conjecture about the financial standing of the company.

Or, you can continue to monitor this vast corporate conspiracy to screw you over. Stay tuned next week if you can figure out where the business section is,,,,.hint, before the comics.

"Re: pensions......c’ mon people. There are laws and regulations. Do a little homework. Google ERISA. " Yo dude. Just ask some of the people at UPS who lost 75 % of their pensions. Yes it is insured to like 20 cents on the dollar. Your pension if you have one, is only as good as Allstate. That being said when the boys upstairs cash out after cooking the books, they will leave you holding the bag. Don't even try to say that will never happen. Stop looking at your phone, take out the ear buds and look out the window of your Lyft or Uber and smell the rancid stench of your Starbucks triple latte and wake up. Nobody is immune........

I guess he got that beer. Sounds like maybe a couple.

by | Post ID:

You don’t work for me: all my employees are literate:

by | Post ID:

I prob work for you. Quit waste of carbon. Your only function is to lead and you s--- at it. There is no concept on how bad morale is sure we have meeting asking us morale but NO ONE is comfortable enough to speak their mind. And I've learned alot about managers from this board and realize why you are all kool aid drinking zombies.

by | Post ID:

Have another beer.

by | Post ID:

A poster who isn't a first line supervisor, CI cool aid drinker and independent thinker. Yes yes and yes. Now wait for the lame supervisors who apparently troll this board because they can't get honest feedback from staff to tell you you are toxic and quit. You're not you are intelligent and not gullible stay that way poster.

Trust me, this old guy is enjoying retirement! I only post here because I was forced to retire because I was layed off. Would have liked to work a few more years but it was a blessing in disguise, I feel like a new person.

by | Post ID:

All these retired guys spending their time posting to a blog about the good ole days, when they should be enjoying themselves. I would be.

by | Post ID:

I meant I don’t care if the other poster believes that I saw the low ball estimates or not. I cared about my people and the customers. I too am glad I was able to retire and am ashamed to say I ever worked for the company. I now go to bed with a clear conscience.

by | Post ID:

"as a CSL and handled many complaints; I really don’t care what you think." this comment from a CSL about sums it up. Nothing to add. Speaks volumes. Proud I made to retirement but ashamed to call my self and employee.

by | Post ID:

Actually I saw DOZENS of estimates as a CSL and handled many complaints; I really don’t care what you think.

by | Post ID:

So, you’ve seen the data ? You’ve reviewed the estimates? Don’t think so, but it makes for a great story line:

by | Post ID:

After the way I was treated I have a right to “trash the company”. Now be a good boy and go back to doing the companies immoral business of writing estimates for a 3rd of the actual damage on the hopes that the customer doesn’t fix the car

by | Post ID:

What does “looking out for yourself”mean, and why haven’t you always looked out for yourself and your family ? That doesn’t mean you have to trash the company, but I’ve always worked hard and been loyal, but ALWAYS have looked out for the best interests of me and my family. You can and should do both.

by | Post ID:

I feel empathy for what you went through. That said, if you step back and remove yourself, do you believe we should stand still ?

Re: pensions......c’ mon people. There are laws and regulations. Do a little homework. Google ERISA.

Thanks for not hating on the millennials.

by | Post ID:

Not sure why the bitterness towards millennials but the poster is on point with much of what he said. Due to downloadbesttorrentblog.ru I was forced into retirement after over 30 years of dedicated service. It is clear that Shapiro is there to drive up the stock price with no concern or appreciation for dedicated employees. I would also not trust them with your pension money. If circumstances are forcing you to stay my best advice is to look out for yourself, the company truly does not care about you.

by | Post ID:

Yeah, he’s a mean one.

by | Post ID:

This poster seems to have a problem with millennials. That’s not nice.
