I'm certain HR isn't answering questions due to liability concerns. I can tell you it's sad what an organization of this magnitude has done to the employees in regards to severance. In our state if you were provided severance (in this case not physically provided thus far of course) then your unemployment benefits are delayed until all severance is exhausted. So if you have documentation stating that you are being provided 8 weeks severance than you can not collect your unemployment until 8 weeks has passed. That said, the company that you have worked so hard for has just nailed you into having absolutely no income coming in your door for 8 weeks because they for whatever reason have decided to wait for 8 weeks to provide the severance packages to the employees affected by the workforce reduction. Very nice. And, how the hell they are hiring after a mass layoff is beyond me. To hire outside of the organization and not the people that were affected for the same positions is insulting. We will see what transpires on day 60. As far as I can tell when day 61 hits those release forms are null and void.

That's quite interesting. Did you make Unemployment aware that you had severance pending? I was only employed over a year so 2 weeks severance which had unemployment delayed to start after 2 weeks even though the severance has not been received. Then since we were paid for the 14th that amount was deducted from the 1st week (which is technically 3rd week). So as of end of 3rd week I, have received a whopping 143.00.
As far as the adjuster positions available. We had some refuse to apply for any open positions as they weren't happy w/the job as it was and as far as being advised by the CSL to apply, well let's just say he has problems getting along with people, is unprofessional and advised his team that they were not to notify the ones laid off about the position. Some people don't belong in management especially if they have to be arguing with someone all the time, doesn't like anyone and can't seperate personal and business. Pathetic team leader.
Imbeciles. Texas is in the middle of one of the biggest catastrophe's in decades. Does anyone really think they'd be shipping adjusters out or handle claims in another state ?

False news. No adjusters from Texas have been sent anywhere else to handle supplements or anything else. I know.
Adjusters are receiving the same number of claims per day as they did before QFC.
I was talking to another displaced adjuster yesterday. Allstate adjusters from Texas have been sent to my area to handle the volume of supplements. Apparently they let too many people go . 3 adjusters can't handle all the work that 7 used to handle. Serves them right. Shops still tell me QFC is a joke. I feel for the people left. Hope they aren't too stressed.
Phone call to HR and they indicated they had no idea how soon severance would be sent out. That was as of today. I guess we will see if they are the honest company some on here seem to think they are. The severance hold up has not stop any unemployment funding here. Got first check this week.
From what I've heard some employees have received their severance pay.
We are hiring in my area, because after downloadbesttorrentblog.ru's, several adjusters left. I can tell you we offered jobs to any adjuster that was laid off, that was within the market. We had no takers ! Good for them if they've landed something else, but they were offered. Can't speak to the severance.
