Lowe's is using the Sears business model

I was a Sales Specialist, the only one in flooring riding very hard for 9 months. I come back from vacation and hauled into the office and told I'm being let go to "poor job performance ". Really. Consistent top 25 performer in my region on track for a 100k month. Actually have experience in my industry. But the person who replaced me is paid about 10 bucks an hour less. Estimates are now worked up off site. So I was no longer needed. All I can say is Lowe's is using the Sears business model. After all it's worked so well for Sears. Good luck. Professionals at Lowe's are no longer needed. Just throw the sh-- on the wall and see what sticks.

Same thing happened to my husband, . Replaced by a much cheaper worker, even if he was one of their best. They always find a reason, no matter how good you are. This is obviously a company wide thing, and frankly, I think it'll bring Lowe's down.

Currently a nursery specialist 3 year of that under my belt and new specialty are being hired on some at 2.00 more an hour than me. I do my bosses paper work, a key carrier and have overide, resets. Im worn out and just done ill continue to smile and work hard till the end though. Witch may be a month or so they'll have to hire 5 people to do what I do and giving me a .20 raise is what lost me.

We're all being written up monthly for not meeting our goals which they quadrupled. 8 credit cards, 8 PSI leads, $6000 in installs per month. We'll all be gone by January.

I to was let go after 6 years of dedicated service. More and more is being done off sight. One associate covering multiple depts. Its a matter of time. Customers could shop anywhere. The only way to stand out is through service,and the service has gone down hill.

I am training part timers and full timers. They are using me and my experience before my days are gone in 3 months. Thing is they don't know I am using them just as bad. Doing as little as I can.. Lowe's wants all the old DM's gone. Especially the higher paid ones. They want the bitter ones that have been stung to be replaced by younger workers who haven't been tainted..

I do not like Lowes and even reading this makes me think it is fake. That's not how terminations work at Lowes. Trust me, I know the process.

Dang, they were making me train two part-timers and retrain the other sales specialist again. Saw the writing on the wall loud and clear and got out of there.
