I see all the rumors regarding layoffs are focusing on January through March period. Does this mean we are at least safe for the holidays? It'd be nice to be able to relax, at least for a few weeks. After that, I'll be recharged enough to start thinking about other options. Are we sure there'll be no more layoffs in December?

It's happening 12/8 with more to come in Januare. In response to the second poster, there is no holiday shutdown/furlough anymore.
Some have been told that their "unofficial" layoff date is December 8th, not the 6th, for OKC It personnel. Also those who aren't let go will be given their package with their release date, whether Jan, Feb, Mar or later. Also expect some security layoffs since the CSO was laid off for refusing to agree to release security personnel. The CEO hates Oklahoma and the CIO is doing his biding by chopping everyone in OKC IT. So look for that to happen at the end of this week. Merry Christmas!
Layoff before Christmas I heard. But at seagate the next layoff is always around the corner. Don't get too comfortable.
If history teaches us anything, 12/6/2017 would be the equivalent layoff day of 2016. It has been Seagat’s way of layoff before Christmas. The only benefit for the company to do so is that they can use holiday/shutdown as 4 weeks notice.
I think I'd be safe to say....you're never safe. Rumors around here are targeting the next week or so. Some are gaining pretty reputable traction.
