Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Anonymous says they are cutting people.

But still no one responds with area/region/district. Regionals were made aware of this site, the only site with this so called news. If they started releasing information, then why hasn't it circulated anywhere else. 80% of these threads are nonsense. There's nothing solid and the way youre all feeding off of this information is disgusting. Good riddance if it is true.

Im here in michigan and i have heard of them eliminating those titles as well

by | Post ID:

I just heard about this restructuring today from my pharmacy manger would really like to know what this means for store employees

by | Post ID:

Some of these posts are funny. If you work at CVS you know what is true. We've all been told and it takes effect Jan.1

by | Post ID:

WARN is ONLY required to post when 33% of a single site is affected with layoffs - not the entire company that spans across the u.s.

by | Post ID:

We received word here in TX via conference call this past Monday that the districts would be split up and combined into the reduced Areas. The DM and RX Supervisor title position would be eliminated in place of the newly created District Leader position. This position will in turn combine the duties of DM and RX Supervisor. At least 2 DMs in the nearby districts have been let go that we know of. No word on any other layoffs or hour cuts. I have nothing to lose so I have nothing to gain by spreading false info. Take what you will from this.

by | Post ID:

It’s all true what you’re hearing and it’s also at / with proof and other sites as well

by | Post ID:

I do not know about "cutting people" or "cutting hours", but it is a fact that they are cutting positions and reorganizing areas, regions and districts. Current Dm's and Rx supervisors have been given the talking points and that's all they are allowed to say. Non disclosure agreements in severance packages prevent any leak in fear of losing severance.

In typical CVS protocol, quite certain all their ducks are not in a row yet. Many people affected have not been notified of their "final disposition" yet. We will know some info by end of year, but not all.

Believe whatever you wish, but if you are not using this as a serious wake up call and developing a backup plan you deserve what may be coming your way.

You have three weeks to get a jump on this..

by | Post ID:

It is TURE! We had a conference call today and DSMs are being forced into retirement so are RX Supervisors. All taking effect 1/1/18. They are eliminating 2 areas all together. Districts will be realigned and now have 10-15 stores in them. Use your head folks. This coming after buying Aetna Ins. What else do you think will happen?! They already are trying to squeeze blood from a turnip already. Stores working on operation X2. Open extended hours through holidays with no extra help. Ever since Tom Ryan left, this company has went to CRAP! Ask any decent manager how many anxiety meds or antidepressants they are on. Better yet ask them about their physical condition. How many suffer from back and leg pain due to unloading hundreds of cases off water each week. We all are just a replaceable ‘number’ we each have our own 7 digit employee ID, that can be given to someone else, at any time, for half the pay. This company’s higher ups s---!

by | Post ID:

Can someone reach out to the admins and ask them that remove all this 'all of this is a lie' nonsense - it's totally generated by a single poster as you can see the same lingo and style used. The poster is just peppering this board with junk which does not contribute to the discussion.

Admins or mods should be able to easily figure out if all of this is originating at the same spot and remove this as due to violation of site rules (spamming, excessive posting, etc)

by | Post ID:

not really, this is the only source (for now) - we'll know soon enough, I don't think layoffs started but there is a lot of people that are anxious. I'll have to be patient and see how things pan out.

by | Post ID:

Are there any other sites like this to verify the rumors from the facts?

by | Post ID:

Has nothing to do with this discussion but for the record:

CVS La Habra and Tracy (both in California), 53 laid off effective 12/15/2017.

See page 4, rows 29 and 30:

by | Post ID:

I've been on this board since 2016 and we'd have several posters a month. It looks like we picked up pace recently and it also looks as the corporate communication folks together with HR have been active here recently - I'd like to personally welcome them even though I know that they will (as always) try to spread misinformation, kool-aid and sugarcoated pipe dreams.

So, welcome!!!

The post about Baltimore was about 5 store managers. I can also confirm this is false as store employee positions are uneffected.

by | Post ID:

Let me give you the list of areas that have been effected.

"Lists all states"

There you go, hope to make things clear and credible.

by | Post ID:

In my experience, the person that starts throwing around the term TROLL is usually the troll....the same with hashtags and insults.

by | Post ID:

For the person with the long post:

The person said it was anonymous, that CVS cant track you. So your endless rant makes no sense. To their point, anyone can give a district or region number to get the general area, not some vague "somewhere in California".

It just makes it all seem not as serious as is being expressed on here.

by | Post ID:

Youre right. No one can stop the talking. SO WHERE IS THERE ANY OTHER INFO BESIDES downloadbesttorrentblog.ru.COM. There is NOTHING returned on a search for this besides this site. No info, no news agency, no complaints....nothing.

by | Post ID:

Those saying false are the trolls. It’s fact. It is happening effective Jan 1.

by | Post ID:

Baltimore thread is false, I am in this market.

by | Post ID:

there are many posts noting locations, just saw one from baltimore and one from california

by | Post ID:

If you work at CVS you know what's going on. Ignore the original poster as she or he is a troll trying to illicit a reaction, without any substance or contribution.

As I said before, if you work at CVS you were on the call or someone you know was on the call and you've heard about pharmacy sup and DM positions and you know that a big change is coming.

You know what's going on and you don't have to prove anything to anyone, on this board or elsewhere. We are free to communicate and no amount of 'damage control' will stop this. This is 2017 and the management cannot act like it's 1999 when they were able to control the messaging and limit the info associates and other employees get - now we can connect and we can pool what we know or what we do not know.

So, the 'corporate is aware of this site' - what does this even mean and what does it have to do with them - they do not own facebook, twitter or downloadbesttorrentblog.ru - and users on these communication sites can do whatever we want - no matter what the issue is, we can discuss it.

Also, fyi - i am on my privately owned cell phone and good luck tracing me down - I do not use CVS resources and CVS would have to subpoena this site and AT&T to get my IP address - good luck with this request - a court would have to approve the subpoena and given that I am not breaking any law, no court in the country would ever allow this. And do they really want to put that $400/hr lawyer on that supoena case to chase my IP address, tracking back to my local starbucks - btw, most mobile phones are on shared ip addresses so, good luck figuring out which out of 1000 users was posting.

Yes warn notice only allows them to be penalized for 60 days and they are all given 60 days severance

by | Post ID:

If they pay 60 days severance, that can be used in-lieu of 60 day warn notice.

Use this google search to see a summary:

/>

by | Post ID:

Because corporate reads these threads and no one on here is dumb enough to post their location specifics for them to see... hence why this page is anonymous.

by | Post ID:

For store closings, they place most employees at other stores. Maybe not now though....

by | Post ID:

WARN notices state that you have to give the individual employee 60 days advanced notice before termination.

by | Post ID:

CA did have a WARN notice but it was for two Longs branches that shut down, not a restructure. You all are crazy.

by | Post ID:

No WARN notice in California public records....in fact they only filed in NY and PA for an acquired sector in the company which is being shut down. Thanks for nothing.

by | Post ID:

I can confirm this is true for Florida.

by | Post ID:

To all the haters thinking this is being made up.... Do a simple search for WARN notices. In California, for example, one was filed in October for CVS Corp. It states area and number of employees affected. Do it. Look it up.

by | Post ID:

This Site is probably owned by CVS tracking all your ips. Pink slips waiting for you tomorrow...

by | Post ID:

Im a lady, not a guy...

by | Post ID:

1st guys right. No other source is reporting this. I searched everywhere, everythings from last year. If this was a company wide event, people would be out with pitchforks and torches like as BLM movement in the streets ready to bring CVS to its knees.

by | Post ID:

Confidential agreements dont stop anonymous posting.

by | Post ID:

Idiots think that CVS casn traack anonymous posts right down to their stores address and managers social. You could be a four hour a week cashier on here and no one would know. I hope you morons arent really counting pills somewhere.

by | Post ID:

No one asked for a specific store. A district...a region...something. It seems like the illiterate only spew insults. If you can't even write a proper sentence, you probably shouldn't be running a store or a pharmacy. Good luck!

Just an area of the country would be nice...

by | Post ID:

It’s coming, not sure why it’s not out to everyone but it’s true. Lots of damage control by DM’s to stop the bleeding. Don’t buy it, they don’t even know what’s happening. We won’t see the effects in stores until Jan and then the real change begins. Time to get out.

by | Post ID:

Indiana has had it announced as well. Had a conference call today but they didn't give specifics other than pharmacy sup and DM position is done. It is now called District Leader. One person does both roles.

by | Post ID:

anonymous Get Your Head Out your A$$!!! If you think this is all fake news you’ve got a Huge surprise coming you. But than again you can be someone from corporate trying to catch people... #TROLL
