Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Sick of being ignored!

Am I the only one who gets ignored? No responses to emails sent to RM, department planners, HO, etc. So sick of it. RM never checks in and we only talk 2-3 times per year. Our RM sends the occasional group email to the SMs in the region "What are you doing to address this? (Payroll, A/R, etc) Need response by end of day!" I write back with a well reasoned explanation or plan about the matter at hand and get no response. Zero feedback. I send a weekly update to the RM and campus contact and have never heard so much a peep back from either. I send an "Hey, need your help with so and so..." Ignored.

If we as SMs had autonomy in our stores to make our own decisions and place our own orders, it wouldn't matter so much, but when you're relying on others for "approvals" for items or adjustments, it's like banging your head against the wall. I feel like we're operating at about 40% capacity because of all the corporate hierarchy and complete lack of engagement. Is it just the Notre Dames and Stanfords that get any attention???

Anyone that walks in our store from home office-rm-gvp, visual merchandiser, they are just looking for things you are doing wrong to write in their visit report. do you ever get one of those reports that praises the store, staff, manager??

Ignored here also. Expected to "run" the store without the promised help. Don't complain when things are not done.!! Soon there wil be nobody when the two that r taken advantage of walk out.

It is always the big stores that get all the attention. Those of us in 2 year schools, or smaller 4 year schools, are nothing. Although, our stores are profitable, they take away from us to give to the bigger entities. Put in requests for new merchandise and they just send the same old crap. But the home office knows how to run the stores better than any SM. Silly us for thinking we have knowledge and experience.

Yep. I send emails to JP all the time and just get a sarcastic response back. No help, ideas, thoughts. Except when to cut payroll
