"The folks at suddenlink didn't get a choice . They made us all ATS regardless . Just told us they were transitioning us to ATS and there were no offers or anything . The communication has been anything but transparent."

I find this very interesting.

I believe that Altice had the same intentions for Cablevision technicians but was unable to simply "transition" us because they knew they would be violating the agreement made with New York State's Public Service Commission.

here's a quote from page 79...

"..The Commission will prohibit Cablevision from laying off, or taking any action effecting an involuntary reduction (excluding retirement incentives and attrition), in any customer-facing jobs in New York in the four years following the issuance of this Order."

This is why Prugash, Hilber, and Fat Barry had to sell it to us like it was some extravagant opportunity for fiber training, fiber certifications, 2% sign-on bonuses, access to withdraw your Cash Balance savings... etc..

There was no need for them to "sell' it to Suddenlink techs. They just bullied you guys right into it.

In the end, we all must understand that ATS is nothing more than a phantom contracting company entirely funded by Altice. (in other words, Altice is still paying all of those salaries). Their end game is to do exactly what they've done with the rest of the employees across Suddenlink/Cablevison.

Stay tuned because at some point, Altice coming for all of us.

That is a good point. WHAT IS YOUR OBSESION WITH THE LINE TRUCKS!? Why don’t you just worry about yourself? Go do your install route, and leave the real work to the MEN!

You sold your soul for a 2% founders bonus. Can you admit defeat?

I keep hearing people wishing to be sold or purchased by cox or charter or mediacom ...that's fine and all but those people who are ATS probably won't be included in that sale ...altice will sell a system or plant to another company and say well we have the tech force to run that system ...so we are stuck under control of Altice ...thoughts ????

Charter will save the day. Will buy systems at a discount. That's my 2 cents.

Suddenlink is already ATS and ausa no the techs didn't get a choice we're told sign the I9 and then boom we were all ATS after numerous payroll errors and now all sick time is vanished actually two weeks ago and no reason why and probably won't. Suddenlink and cablevision are dead it's just a product that is suffering and customers hate us as a company . Altice nv owns us all whether your Ausa or ATS so not a great thing there....most Suddenlink markets are skeleton crews of inhouse techs ...a lot of 2 or 3 tech systems or less now. Sad sad sad . Hate that it's this way. Many more looking at leaving

What's your obsession with the lineman trucks about?

by | Post ID:

I'm willing to bet one of the line trucks on the garden State parkway causes an accident.

I heard Suddenlink transition is not going well even been delayed.

My belief, I would guess there will be layoffs. Most likely the most senior people. Just my guess and that is all.

I think that it will another year on the roller-coaster because this company will still remain desperate for revenue. They will continue to squeeze the dry lemon juice out of the company just to report better gains on the financial statements. We all know that their business strategy to gain customers is the worst plan ever so be prepared for more lies, Bull-s*&t and cuts to the employee benefits.

Remember Goldman Sachs is longer lending Altice money until Alice lowers its debt. They have no money, check the income statement from the last quarter. These people are crazy and were crazy for staying. lol
