6 days into the new team based commission structure and it is pretty much more of the same. Out store's sales dollar bucket/quota seems incredibly high and not obtainable. 6 days in and we are on pace to hit 70 percent of the bucket. Last year at this time, reps at our store were easily hitting anywhere from 125% to 150% of their individual sales dollar bucket. Not only is the store sales dollar bucket too high, but our individual phone quotas are high as well. No rep in our store is on pace to hit them as well. Morale is down. No body feels like they are in control of their commission check anymore. Its a bummer to think it is possible you can contribute way more than others in your store and now make they same paycheck. We were told this is going to be a 6 month trial and it can possibly become corporate wide. I hope to God it doesn't. It is going to be a long 6 months that is for sure.

Quotas are insanely high to ensure you don’t make much money and to ensure if need be you’re able to be pushed out the door much easier. They been slowly setting up this system for yearsa
You're told that because they want to get rid of some of you.
We are told we will be " held accountable" if we don't hit 100% quota, our DM is on out a-- all the time, 100% is not the target it's the minimum for us, and our quotas are out of control!!!!
In any other company, 100% is not the floor. Certainly there are some high performers going above and beyond, but in most companies I've been part of 100% is supposed to be a stretch. Maybe Verizon is trying to become more like other companies who do it right?
Also, it would be nice if the director got on a call with the entire team and explained the methodology and showed support of this. Our dm is great, but some other leadership would be nice too. I just feel since the old director left, there is no communication...
100% is not the goal of a high performer. It’s the minimum expectation. The floor. A true high performer will always set goals over and above what they’re expected to accomplish.

100% is supposed to be a big stretch. When you're easily hitting 125-150%, then you know there is a problem with the comp system. 100% is a goal for a high performer, it's not supposed to be some sort of average. Verizon has rightly done something about this easy money train.
There will never be a system in place to ensure you make more money. Those days ended 4 years ago. The people setting quota know what they’re doing as there job is to ensure reps continue making less and less but keep it as a slow decline. When I started I was making 5-6k monthly commission checks and I saw the writing on the wall the company is sinking faster than the titanic. Jumped that ship long ago
Lets see what makes more sense...You make $3, the company makes 1$ on the old plan...New plan you make $1 and the company makes $3....which way do you suppose the company will lean towards?

This is comical. Someone's complaining about wearing pajamas, but the other person is actually complaining about making money. Hmm which matters more? MONEY! I can tell you I made no money under DW "vision" did you? I had hopes when I heard about new commission set up, disappointed to hear. I would wager the person as "GLE02" is a DM who loved DW or a GM who DW thought was good, Now with him gone you are scared you have to work haha. This is comical.
I want someone to quantify what DW actually did? He was egotistical. He would get on calls and just talk about numbers that don’t pertain to you. He would walk into store and sit in the back or in meetings would always wrap everything up with stroking himself. Sejal didn’t change the work attire. She allowed folks to wear pajamas ONE day and that was on Christmas Eve! How awful! To allow us to have some fun around the holidays! Our customers loved it and so did the reps. She’s holding people accountable! We are in sales and this whole “I’m gonna try!” Or “we will do better tomorrow” crap doesn’t grow the business. If you don’t like it, leave. Stores are under performing, but we want a reward for that?
1qnc. Where are you at. It’s not going to change. The point is lower commission. They are testing a couple solutions across the company. The winner will be which saves Verizon the most amount of money without to much negative feedback from employees.
Your lucky their is commission at all. The majority sees ZERO value in these stores. Distribution may be accomplished through other means.
Same here in our store. When we had the meeting last month, our DM and trainer made it out to believe the new structure was going to lead to us all making higher commission checks in general. The exact opposite is happening so far. This is going to be a complete flop when it is all said and done. Hopefully they will see after the first month that we are all making less as a result of the new structure and change it back to the old way or try something else. It is not fair that we have to take a pay cut versus the rest of the company because we were the "lucky" ones choosen to test.
See her Verizon Instagram account. I posted it before but admin here removed the post. Moral is at an all time low. Every day there is something childish that happens. Like wearing pajamas to work. I remember when we wore ties to work and now it’s pajamas. The crazy atmosphere where minority’s and women are all that matter. DW the previous director was a rockstar. He drove results and people actually wanted to work for him and see him successfully. Today’s environment is toxic. It’s like everything is a game of monopoly. There is no desire for anything no mission no respect for authority at all.
This is not a troll post. Our district is one of 5 districts in the company currently trying out the team commission idea. Look at the prior post on this board back in December when it was announced and you can find all of the details on how the structure is set up. I have no reason to lie. Have a nice day.
Confirmation that this is a troll spewing out wrong information. There are currently no stores or districts participating in the one check commission structure. It was tested over the past few years in a couple of stores....the last being Mall Of Americas. It failed miserably.

What district are you in that they are trying this? More information is needed because they tried this many times from what I hear and hearing from you that they are trying it again screams your speaking BS. Provide some details.
Love GLE. Glegends. Women of Wireless. Go Sejal. Worst director ever. Let’s dress in costumes and pajamas and sell some hum. Our last director was a real leader. Had a vision. Had a plan. GLE is a disgrace but I guess that’s what you get when you are so worried about discrimination that you hire someone they no one could sue you for instead of someone actually qualified to do the job.
