I wonder if GE, themselves, created this site, so they could try to find out what is what within their own company?????

Do you guys remember the amount, in the millions close to a billion or better that was given to GE as grant money from Obama to further" Green Energy" or "going green"? Right ? !
Well now there's been a shift in there plans of going green.
From a financial analysis View, that speculation but most likely true, is that they're taking the other part of that grant money given by Obama and converting it over to they're big Aviation Dept which is going to help build the Boeing 747 that was contracted by Iran, way before Trump was ever elected.
I know it's sickening to be helping Iran, when all they want to do is see America and Israel go down.
The Aviation Dept. in GE grew at rather a handsome pace while under the Obama Administration.
That's because GE's lobbyist were up there Gathering up funds for going green in energy while the aviation deal was being worked out and became privy to the Iranian deal of the Boeing's 747s being made.
And guess what? Here we are!
Layoffs and all of the other departments, to strengthen the aviation Department to subcontract the Boeing 747 contracted by Iran.
You missed my point. A) There's no way GE management comes here to learn anything. B) There is meaning here to the consensus of views.
I think you may have missed OP's sarcasm there. The point being made is that many GE employees have turned to this forum as their only source of information as they navigate these extremely turbulent times.
It's a risky endeavor, to be sure - there are so many trolls and rumor mongers lurking here, it's impossible to know fact from fiction... But OP's point still holds true: GE is providing little to no meaningful information to its employees, so an external, anonymous board seems to be the only place they can come to share information.
Really, really unfortunate.
Why would you think they want to know what is what?
In all seriousness though, I do think that some investors look here. I wouldn't buy or sell based on a rumor. I would buy or sell if I saw that there was a general consensus here that a layoff is to be announced at a certain day and time. I would also pay attention to comments here about corporate statements and announcements.
Right, they've done that in 2009 when this site was established and then they waited 8 years to start posting (last year was the first year that GE folks started posting here).
Also, if you look at the homepage, this website lists about 200 active forms on this site, many of them have larger audience than GE
