I would hire an attorney first and foremost and have them contact HR. You will see how quickly they respond in your favor. Make sure if you haven't already started to do so that you collect and keep every bit of evidence. Make copies of all documents sent to you by HR, Keep a folder, journal at home not in the office, things have a way of disappearing.
Bring it to the news that Macys did nothing. You have to get it public and let the shareholders see that behavior is condoned. Don’t give up!
Mine got reported several years ago. I met with a rep from associate relations/hr privately at a coffee shop in a mall several times so she could take down all of my statements. I had proof on my phone of his harassment and I had witnesses. It got to the point where he would poke me in the chest and push me into corners of offices screaming at me that he owned me and I worked for him. He would send me inappropriate text messages with pictures. He would make fun of me openly at group meetings with my peers. I was informed that the only way to get me away from the situation was to put me in a different job. I got pulled out of my job and he didnt??? I wound up leaving my nice cushy district job for a senior store management position. He wound up getting an annual district award that same year. 2 years later our district got realigned and he wound up being my boss. I went to HR about the situation and they said there was nothing they could do for me. That they weren't going to pull him out of my job and there were no equivalent positions to my job close to my location so if I wanted to be reassigned I'd have to relocate or drive up to 2 hours away. This guy wound up leaving post it notes on my desk letting me know how horrible of a personality he thought i had. He would troll me somehow on facebook and take screen shots of me at parties and question me about them behind closed doors while giving me my annual review. How is this even ok??? At least he lost his job 2 years ago so I guess karma catches up. But now I'm out of a job this years so.....
If you are alluding to a s-xual harassment or assault situation with your metoo hashtag, did you report this certain male executive at the time?
#metoo.....so glad that a certain male executive is no longer with the company.
Has anyone actually “asked HR “ a question?
