Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

When will it be enough?

I love how Honeywell continually increases workload on employees while it keeps downsizing. It’s not like we’re sitting around twiddling our fingers with nothing to do. Now we have to finish our own work plus the work of all the people who have been laid off in one of many, many, layoff rounds.

I do have a radical idea, though. How about the company starts compensating us for all the extra time and effort we put in? Not to mention, all the stress of always having layoffs hanging over us? Yeah, didn’t think so.

I know this rant isn't relevant to what RIFs may be happening, or who is affected next. But, I want to say that I like my work, I love my co-workers, I don't MIND my commute (too much), but I HATE this company!!! This is the worst company I have ever worked for and I've been a government employee too (if that tells you much). If you are reviewing these boards as prospective employment opportunities, stay FAR away from Honeywell! These posts are no lie; it is a nightmare!

Volunteering may not work. It alerts the company that you want out and are looking for a package. If they think chances are good you will leave, they will not RIF you to avoid giving a package and hope you leave on your own. I know many more volunteers who did not get RIF'd compared to those who did. And really the work u do has no bearing.

The CEO is performing in his role to perfection. Engines, customers, technology do not matter, cash matters and bankers are running the company. People are biggest drain on cash. The corporate execs go to work everyday with a single goal, create cash now, put as much as they can in their pockets and when gig is up go do it somewhere else. Hopefully those of you who have road the stock to record levels in 401k have enough sense to take some profits before the fall.

you said it! Our new HTF engine is a steaming pile of Honeywell, and we continue to lag in the avionics markets, ranking dead last for nearly a decade now. It's amazing the president of AERO hasn't been removed for missing basically every target except for revenue. I guess the only thing the current and previous ceo cared about was getting rich, even at the expense of the entire company.

HON does not care about quality, customers, service, doing a good job, etc. There is one thing HON leadershit cares about; getting rich on the backs of everyone else. Make no mistake, this is not a real company but rather a subterfuge. It's essentially a giant ATM machine for Dairyass and the stockholders.

The downsizing is never going to end. Never. They will continue to extract as much work out of you until you decide to leave, or they RIF you; whichever comes first. When you're gone, they'll give your work to the reamining co-workers or offshore it to some sh--hole country.

If leadership gave two s**ts about the quality of the work being performed, then downloadbesttorrentblog.rus wouldn't be happening. They care about short term profits only and they're willing to sell the farm to maximize their bonuses.

This is why so many of us have chosen to leave. If you can't take the least bit of pride in the work you're doing then it's really easy to be happier elsewhere.

Good insight that you are not getting laid off. The radical idea is that you tell them to put you on the list and your work could be given to someone else. This will prevent the wrong person from getting the boot.
