Thread regarding CVS layoffs

District Leader Exodus

Who is planning to leave after stock and bonus this year? The role is awful with the extreme workload, lack of support from regional directors who are clueless about day to day operations, and the lack of training from the company all while trying to maintain results before we are put on improvement plans for missing.

Quite a big difference in roles when someone gets all new stores versus other district leaders that have all or a majority of them, but no one cares.

Anyone still have a pipeline?

They will just keep promoting individuals who are not qualified but meet one of the other criteria they are focusing on. If you are a seasoned Store Manager YOU are, and will continue to be, the most knowledgeable individual in the company but definitely not the most compensated.

So let's say there is a district leader

Exedous after march 15 ...

Does anybody know how they plan to fill spots ?? Could there be 20

DL holes by April 1 ?

I would love to see all these comments and concerns hit Wall Street. Wonder why there were no news of the restructures on the news!! If only this page was shared on a news outlet.

So if you aren't finished setting Easter ... no big deal finish by 17th

End of day ... your boss will never know... but if they suggested u personally work 16 hours ... that's a problem...

I was told have one day to set my entire Easter set. It is to be set by the 16th which is when I get my delivery. They suggested I work the 16 hours and then take m y delibery in. Plus still get it done in a day. That would make for 29 hours straight at work. Plus no hours to take a day off to rest

If you have a career goal of success you should get your resume out there now. What is the harm? The job created for District leaders is impossible. Your RM's will blame you for the declining results and you will feel helpless as you spin your wheels trying like hell to do your job. Take your experience and go now before it's too late

Welcome to the life of a CVS manager. We have been dealing with and feeling the same for years. Somewhat happy we aren't the only ones feeling like fools right now.

Too much compassion...they never say, “sorry”.

I made the decision today to take the corporate training approach. Sorry you don’t know, here’s a job aid, go ask someone who can really help, and by the way, you’re still responsible for your results.

Can’t wait for the engagement survey.

Go to active tab and check out how Orlando DC is doing

Many will go the talk is out there and most know it. West coast will be hit hard as it's harder out there with the volume they do and now tons of hours have been cut fro invest stores and managers are cut to hourly. Most RX sups have no desire to run the front and will go back to their roots eventually.

by | Post ID:

Somehow that story fits...figure it out! After several 90+ hours a week you will figure one thing out.....your regional, area and everyone above them including Merlo, don't give a rat's a-- about anyone's problems but their own.

I have store manager openings, but inherited no SMITs due to the realignment and all new stores. As a former sup, what was I told? Figure it out. Gee, thanks.

Talent has nothing to do with what is going on right now. Other than Store Managers/SMIT, talent has not been a criteria for quite some time. I am not saying there are not some talented DM’s, excuse me, DL’s but yes CVS is letting talent RUN away. Hold your judgment until April regarding the exodus, lots of $$$ on the table.

Come on now, the bullying will continue as that is Larry's style.

I can't believe CVS let all the talent walk.

Great to be working for a company who has District LEADERS who are just learning their jobs. What a bright future. I learn something new everyday which enhances the skills I already possess. What is the pay scale for OJT? You seem to be blessed with an RxSup who doesn’t look done on FS Management but most did. Now that their jobs depend on FS they will have to tone down their arrogance and play the game.

by | Post ID:

Like everything there are good and bad DL’s. I feel lucky that mine is passionate about her job. She was a RXSUP so is learning FS, but is excited and willing to learn. That is one of the biggest differences and best attributes. She wants to succeed and us with her. How many DM and RXS checked out when told they had to learn the other half. I don’t love the change, but my leadership team is sound and I think we have a great future.

SORRY, WE CAN’T ALL BE DOOM AND GLOOM...

I will stick around for a while, I have a difficult family situation and I cannot afford to risk it right now - the morale has been deteriorating for a while though, I think there are many who will leave

by | Post ID:

I do have a back up plan, but am not planning on bailing, I will continue to to follow fed wage and hour guidelines, attempt to follow company expectation and make rational decisions on which ones there is not time to complete. I will force them to attempt to terminate me. I have saved all intimidating and threatening emails from district mgmt and l.p. Guess will see.

by | Post ID:

Not for nothing, and not that you're necessarily like mine, but my DL is pretty awful. Not her fault really as she was a Pharm. Sup. and she has no clue about FS, but your sentiment is company wide. It's tough to be a SM with a clueless DL. Does your RD have experience at the regional level or was he or she forced into it to keep their job?
