Thread regarding Follett layoffs

One person can make a difference

To back up 6871 I know of a bunch of follett contracts that were lost because of one man's relentless pursuit to expose Follett's business practices...anyone who used to work in the St. Pete area might know what I am referring to.

That is a list of current follett stores (although I think Spartan Stores didn't go with Follett, I could be wrong). I'm happy to lend a hand at educating their administrations about the company they're in bed with. I expect a few letters to the editors of the schools' newspapers as well as open letters to Follett copied to university HR, PR, Dean of Students should do the trick.

Thanks to the web and email, this should take very long, either.

Thank you for posting!

If anyone knows of contracts out to bid in Northern California, please post that information. I'd love to use my knowledge and the power of persuasion to affect the outcome of those bids.

Just search follett+st. Pete + lawsuit and you should be able to read about it. He may have lost the court battle but because of him follett lost a very lucrative contract that

included many stores.

What were the business practices that he exposed? Are they happening at other Follett run bookstores?

by | Post ID:

Not from that area but do know all about this man. Follett played him up as a disgruntled employee. Not sure how the outside viewed him but those of us that were on the inside were made to think he was a mad man looking for revenge. Make sure to read your severance agreement closely just in case they added something in there that could bite you in the butt later, if there isn't anything I would say it would be worth a try.
