Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

PA Bureau of Labor Law Compliance Pittsburgh office

Anyone else follow up on this post? I DID it's sad; but TRUE! As if it's not enough Art Herman made a $750,000 mistake that cost WyoTech the first year he was employed at Blairsville, which Art and his minions took from every departments budget to make up for the loss so CCI wouldn't learn of Art's incompetence. Every department ran short on supplies and Art's job was saved, Since then Art has cut several jobs and taken merit raises for the last few years, and now vacation pay, all this to make up for his mismanagement and student decline. Art pull your head out of the sand )or your ass!) take a look around and see what you did to the students, staff' moral and the company in general; and ask yourself "what have i done?" this is your latest why to save money? just steal it for your employees! Hey remember this post? The upcoming clearing of vacation day balances is in DIRECT violation of PA law. A phone conversation with an investigator from the Pittsburgh Field Office of the PA Bureau of Labor Law Compliance revealed that this new policy is in direct violation of the PA Wage Payment Collection Law. A company is permitted to change its vacation policy but is not permitted to take away vacation time that has been earned. He also suggested that the Corinthian solicitor should take a close look at PA Law as it pertains to this new policy. This earned vacation time is considered a wage and cannot be taken away while the employee is still employed. I urge my fellow employees to make certain that they have a copy of their pay stubs that display earned vacation time. Anyone who wishes to verify this information can reach an investigator at the Pittsburgh office at .

Didn't you read where the other person posting to this forum suggested it was perfectly legal? You know, "right to work" means "right for company to not pay you," or "right to work for free." And come on, you know that CCi has extensive legal problems, and claims everything it does is perfectly legal. What are you going to do about your few weeks of vacation anyway?
