TCS management - Profit for Tata/CEO, 'Tata/Bye-Bye' to Staff

  1. TCS management can't think of creative ways of growth. It's an old fashioned outsourcing mindset management at top layers. They have run out of ideas to deliverer industry leading performance. Unit Heads know only to squeeze operations and deliver their targets.

  2. But now no more squeezing of people is possible. Plus this customer facing guys are not talented enough to lead the engaging discussions with clients in today's digital age. That's why they are not able to win new business against Accenture and specilaized digital players.

  3. Hence all Unit Heads and CEO, CFO, Head of HR are now finding ways to cut corners. Easiest is to LAYOFF senior people in projects and business development who have done so much for TCS over the years.

  4. LAYOFF is not an issue. It's a global norm. But in Western IT cos and even in Indian IT Cos like Infosys, Cognizant etc senior people in customer facing roles are paid huge incentives, bonus, stock options etc. So they have been well rewarded over the years.

  5. But in TCS, these senior people have not got any monetary reward - no stock options, no huge bonuses, nothing. All of TCS income goes to Tata Sons to pay for loss making Tata cos. And in TCS only CEO, CFO, and Unit Heads are well paid. No one else. HUL has more Rs 1.0 + cr employees than TCS, with just 5% of TCS staff. That is shameful for TCS.

  6. As such, when you LAYOFF senior employees, it's an EVIL act to the highest order.

  7. In Q2 '17 results, TCS mgmt showed a QoQ EBIT growth of Rs 300 cr. Actual EBIT growth is negative. It is QoQ (- Rs 400 cr). TCS mgmt has cut Quarterly Variable Allowance of middle and senior employees in the range of 50-100%. That's how they have saved Rs 700-800 cr. So actual QoQ EBIT decline of Rs. 400 cr. has been artificially bloated to a growth of Rs 300 cr

  8. That's how TCS mgmt is cheating its employees. Now they are planning to LAYOFF senior employees, who have never been rewarded over last 12-15 years of their jobs with TCS. If TCS mgmt had been fairly and honestly rewarding its employees monetarily, then LAYOFF would have been justified.

  9. TCS CEO's salary has jumped 10 times over last 7 years, whereas at junior levels salary growth over the same period has been only 1.5x, at middle level 1.8x, and senior level 2.2 x

TCS one of the worst brand ever in Indian market. The company cheating with employee as per inflation the cos not giving hike on salary. Only Brand . Very smaller cos then Tcs paying much much better payment. Even no internal growth for an employee. No opportunities also given.

EVEN BUSINESS HR DANCES ON THE TUNES OF UNIT HEAD & SHARE SERVICES HEAD. THERE ARE NO MENTORING SESSION & NO SKILLS UPGRADE OR CERTIFICATION WRITING ENCOURAGEMENT TO EMPLOYEES. THIS COMPANY EVEN CHARGES FOR CAB FACILITIES FOR THE PEOPLE COMING IN ODD SHIFTS WHICH OTHER COMPANIES PROVIDE FOR FREE. THIS COMPANY ALSO CHARGES THERE EMPLOYEES HEALTH INSURANCE AMOUNT WHICH ALL THE COMPANIES BEAR FOR THERE EMPLOYEES. THIS COMPANY DO COST CUTTING BY VARIOUS MEANS FOR SAP BASIS, COMPANY SHOULD START REPLACING GUJJUS FROM OUTSIDER FOR THE BETTERMENT OF COMPANY.

TCS should seriously consider VRS option. This will resolve many problems mentioned above. This will also be good for the brand image compared to lay-offs.
